What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

3 technicians in the shop and 1 Service Advisor up front.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 6:00PM. Saturday 7:30AM to 5:00PM. Closed Sundays.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have a Snap-On Modis scanner for all technicians to use. Bartec TPMS tool. We have a shop box with multiple tools for use and some specialty tools for timing jobs.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Everyone has access to a refrigerator and microwave with a small kitchenette styled breakroom.

How many bays does your shop have?

6 Bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

200 - 250

What is your parts ordering process?

Primarily Electronic Parts Ordering through our Point of Sale.

What is your policy on side work?

We do not allow side work or moonlighting.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

This store opened in 2019 and is in a unique location within a shopping center.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We have access to multiple technical training platforms and will provide paid training for those that are motivated to learn new services we may not offer yet.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We facilitate and encourage ASE testing and reimburse for PASSED ASE tests. We believe every employee should advance to the next level. We will also move a technician into service management if they so desire. We want to help each employee obtain their goals.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Initial performance review at 90 days. Then at 6 months and 1 year anniversary.

What type of safety training is required?

Video training for safety required.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Each location has a Master (A) Technician. That individual is the "Lead" in the shop and will provide mentoring to younger technicians based on vehicle opportunities to share knowledge and processes for specific repairs.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Meineke is partnering with Against Global Hunger to package 10,000 meals in a hands on community service event at the Tulsa State Fair on October 2nd.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

While we have no formal ties with local schools, our management team has network contacts with the Tulsa area Tech schools.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We will continue to grow and invest in our technical staffing to be proficient with new technologies that are just now starting to enter the aftermarket Automotive Repair Industry. In five years, we may have an additional three or four stores open in the Tulsa Metro.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We do have an application form, it takes about 10 minutes to complete. We will bypass an application with an in-person interview

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

No, although phone interviews or text may be more convenient for some individuals.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

The first interview is with Jeff Wymer, the Regional Manager. The interview will be at one of our shop locations and explore the technician's background and skill set as well as culture fit for our organization. There will be a shop tour as well. We also encourage time in the shop with the current technicians so there is a chance to meet and ask questions with the team the candidate would be working with.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do not perform personality tests. Background checks and drug screening may be invoked, but not required.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

We do require a skill assessment before hiring.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Typical response time is 1-3 days.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Once initial contact is made, the hiring process is expedited for the right candidate(s), so within 1 to 3 days of contact to hiring decision.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

We expect in-coming candidates to give a two week notice and will honor that timeframe when setting a start date.

ASE Master Certified Technician Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000/year

$35 to $42 per flag hour. Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit, ASE Testing Reimbursement, Tool Reimbursement, Work Shoe Reimbursement.

B Level Technician Pay Range: $50,000 - $70,000/year

$25 to $34 per flag hour Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit, ASE Testing Reimbursement, Tool Reimbursement, Work Shoe Reimbursement.

General Service Technician Pay Range: $25,000 - $36,000/year

$15 to $16 per hour / depending on experience Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit, ASE Testing Reimbursement, Tool Reimbursement, Work Shoe Reimbursement.

Service Advisor Pay Range: $31,200 - $65,000/year

Commission Based Pay Percentage of weekly total sales and gross profit. Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit.
