Shop is heated.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We currently have 5 main line technicians, 1 light duty technician, 2 full time and 2 part time lube technicians. We also have 3 service advisors, 1 Dispatcher/Warranty Administrator and 1 Service Manager. Parts has 3 full time countermen and 1 Parts Manager.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Shop hours are Monday-Friday 6:30am-6pm
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have a large variety of shared tools including GM Specialty tools, battery chargers/testers, tire equipment, alignment rack and aligner. Our GM tool room is well organized and if a tool is needed, we add it to collection.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Our breakroom has heat and air conditioning, stock with utensils, microwave, refrigerator, and pizza oven,
How many bays does your shop have?
22 Bays with above ground Rotary Hoists that get a yearly inspection for safety.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
600-800 repair orders a month and looking to increase volume by 15%.
What is your parts ordering process?
All parts are added to the inspection, and we use an electronic communication system so we can keep technicians in their bays working. We also have parts runner that can deliver parts to your bay.
What is your policy on side work?
Working on your personal vehicle and family members vehicles is allowed but has to be approved by management.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
All main line technicians are supplied with a laptop and GM interface tool. We pride ourselves on the tenure of our associates in our service department.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes, we are dedicated to supporting our technicians training path. We are willing to financially support in continuing education and utilizing GM training facilities.

Can you describe your performance review process?
We perform yearly performance reviews.
What type of safety training is required?
We perform annual inspections on all hoists and perform a quarterly inspection on the facilities. Any safety issues are delt with immediately.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We partner with local technical college and work through their apprenticeship programs. If a younger technician has down time, they are encouraged to work with one of our main line technicians.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We are partnered with local tech college and support their apprenticeship programs.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Yes, we support local high schools and technical college in our area.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, all applicants will speak with the Service Manager over the phone before they are invited into the dealership. Basic conversation to gauge interest levels about the position
What do your in-person interviews entail?
All interviews will be conducted by the service manager, a shop tour and a visit with the General Manager. Discussion includes background, certifications, skill set, and the candidates career goals
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
No, only driver's license screening.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No. Skill assessment is done through the interview process
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
1-2 days depending on list of applications.

Diesel-EV Certified Technician
Pay Range: $35.00 - $42.00/hour
Hourly Guaranteed rate for hour worked and additional earning opportunity on hours produced. All paychecks are direct deposited weekly.
A Level Technician
Pay Range: $31.00 - $39.00/hour
Hourly Guaranteed rate for hour worked and additional earning opportunity on hours produced. All paychecks are direct deposited weekly.
B Level Technician
Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00/hour
Hourly Guaranteed rate for hour worked and additional earning opportunity on hours produced. All paychecks are direct deposited weekly.
Lube Technician
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour
Hourly rate plus additional incentive opportunities.
