Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The shop is heated with plenty of fans to keep things cool when needed

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have 13 in the service department and 6 in the collision center.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday)

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

All special tools. Diagnostic scanners, ac machines, fluid exchange machines, jacks, welders, spray equipment, frame machine. ETC.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Fridge, microwave, table, chairs, and coffee maker

How many bays does your shop have?

17 bays, and 15 lifts in the service department 10 bays 2 lifts

How many repair orders do you average per month?

450 cp

What is your parts ordering process?

We have in house parts department

What is your policy on side work?

The shop cannot be used for outside income but it can be used for personal use after hours as long as it is approved by the manager.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We are currently adding on to both departments so we have plenty of space and new equipment for you to thrive in.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

The dealership provides and pays for, GM training and I Car training

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We always promote growth from within. We continue to grow as a company and with that comes opportunities. Techs have the opportunity to advance their skill set, or move into different positions for the right employee

Can you describe your performance review process?

We provide yearly evaluations. Discussion includes the employee's numbers, what they're doing well, and where we can help improve. Also, the employee's likes and where we can improve. Finally, goals for the upcoming year

What type of safety training is required?

Basic safety guideline training

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have in-house lead technicians that help in our apprentice program. Lead technicians will be available to answer questions, and help with repairs when time permits

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We are heavily involved with all local organizations

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We work and have a good relationship with the local vo-tech

Department heads will conduct the interview. Discussion includes the candidate's background, certifications, likes and dislikes, and what their career path looks like

No, limited background check.

No formal skill assessment. Assessment is done through the interview process
