Working solo or with a team, you’ll maintain and repair vehicles for Manheim to make them look and run like new. You’ll be delivering exceptional service to customers, and mastering the fine art of balance (not just wheels, but wallets) as you mindfully manage costs to keep customers satisfied and our margins within the white lines. Here’s a list of some of the key responsibilities that accompany this job: Perform preventive maintenance and “health checks” on vehicles – everything from changing oil, oil filter, fuel filter, & transmission flushes, to inspecting vehicles for mechanical flaws. The car doctor is IN. Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic systems, generators, and electrical systems, hybrids, and on-board computer systems on specialized trucks. Depending upon your certification level, you may perform various repairs and maintenance that involve (you ready for this list?): OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, state safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, and bumper stickers. (Okay, we made up the bumper sticker part.) You may be asked to repair and maintain shop equipment, because you’re good like that. You’ll be expected to know and follow all safety procedures. You’ll need to create and maintain vehicle histories and maintenance records. You may even up fit vehicles with necessary equipment, and even provide custom equipment when needed by engaging in equipment design and moderate fabrication tasks including welding. You’ll assure prompt repairs by working with vendors for parts and repairs, and from time to time, you may even perform roadside assistance.
