The LTI Shop is equipped with gas heaters. The shop is not air conditioned.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

The LTI shop is currently staffed with 10 shop personnel.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

The LTI shop is open 7 days a week. Hours are from 8 am to 12:30 am.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

The LTI shop is equipped with pallet jacks, jack stands, and diagnostic laptops. The shop also provides a 1" air impact and 1 " sockets for tire replacement.

What type of break room facility is provided?

LTI provides a breakroom that is equipped with: - Soda machine -Refrigerated snack machine -Coffee machine - 65" TV -Lounge chair and couch -Shower

How many bays does your shop have?

The LTI shop has 3 long bays and a 1/2 bay.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

The LTI shop averages 540 repair orders per month. This is a combination of truck and trailer repairs.

What is your parts ordering process?

LTI has a parts manager that orders shop parts and manages inventory levels and costs.

What is your policy on side work?

LTI does not allow any repairs on equipment not owned by LTI in the shop or on the facility.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

LTI partners with Truck Centers Inc. to provide ongoing training for LTI technicians. Training classes include: - HVAC certification/ repair - Electrical troubleshooting/ diagnostics - Aftertreatment - Transmission and much more

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

LTI technicians have the opportunity to advance in to many different positions. LTI technicians are crossed trained on trucks, trailers, and refers. An LTI technician can advance in to a lead technician position or shop manager

Can you describe your performance review process?

LTI employees are reviewed on an annual basis. The review consists of an evaluation of: Attendance Performance Skill advancement Production Quality Production Quantity

What type of safety training is required?

All LTI technicians are trained the proper way to perform various mechanical repairs. LTI partners with Freightliner to provide safety training and correct procedures for mechanical repairs.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

LTI has several technicians with multiple years of experience diagnosing and performing repairs on truck, trailers, and refers. These technicians mentor new techs that are hired in to the maintenance shop.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Where do you see the shop in five years?

In the next five years, the LTI shop will continue to advance with software and new technology to perform diagnostic repairs. In the next five years, the LTI shop will increase its production quantity and quality.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

LTI does not have an application to fill out but a resume is required for review.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

LTI does not phone screen applicants prior to in-person interviews. However, a resume is required before an applicant will be scheduled for an interview.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In-person interviews consist of: - 1 on 1 with the maintenance terminal manager and shop manager - Questions about current and past employment history - Questions about mechanical skills and limitations - Discuss compensation - Walkthrough of LTI shop

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

All LTI technicians are required to complete a drug screening and funcionality/mobility test prior to employment.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

LTI does not perform a formal skill assessment. Each technician will start the first couple of weeks shadowing a senior technician. Each new hire will learn the policies and procedures of LTI and the expectation.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

All applicants considered for hire will be evaluated and notified within 3-5 days.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

The full hiring process from start to finish takes about 1-2 weeks to complete. This timeframe fluctuates based on the availability on the clinic performing the drug screen and functionality test.

Truck and Trailer Mechanic Pay Range: $18 - $25/hour

Pay is based upon experience.

Mobile Truck and Trailer Mechanic Pay Range: $20 - $30/hour

Full time employees who have been employed for 90 days, are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) plan. Plan participants may make pre-tax contributions or post-tax (Roth) contributions to their 401(k) account. The Company has a discretionary match provision as part of the Plan. The discretionary match will be announced at year end for the following year. You are eligible to participate in the plan after 90 days.

Each full time employee will accrue PTO weekly in hourly increments based on their length of service as defined below. PTO is added to the employee's PTO bank when the weekly paycheck is issued. PTO taken will be subtracted from the employee's accrued time bank in one hour increments.
