Our shop is heated and air conditioned.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

The main shop has 20 technicians and the express shop has 8 additional techs.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open the following hours: Monday - Thursday 7am-7pm Friday and Saturday 7am-5pm

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have integrated tool boxes, all factory required special tools, all technicians are assigned their own laptop (including a 2nd monitor)/tablet/mobile device, we have 3 tire machines and 3 tire balancers, 4 a/c machines, 8 battery testers, 5 on-car brake lathes, 2 alignment racks

What type of break room facility is provided?

Our break room has a state-of-the-art water dispenser and coffee machine, vending machines for soft drinks and snacks, 2 refrigerators, and a sink

How many bays does your shop have?

25 bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We are currently averaging 3200 ROs per month

What is your parts ordering process?

We use a digital multi-point inspection tool which allows easy communication between the technician, parts department, and service advisors

What is your policy on side work?

No policy

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Our technicians enjoy a 4-day work week and also enjoy 5 consecutive days off once every 3 weeks, technician bonuses, and employee appreciation days.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer paid training for entry level individuals, as well ongoing training for experienced technicians. We have a mentor program for entry level technicians as well as co-op students, and automotive college students. We also pay for our technicians PA State Safety Inspection and Emissions Inspection classes as well as recertifications. We also have ongoing manufacturer training.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Our mentor program offers rapid development for entry level technicians. We have 3 team lead positions that the highest of performers can be promoted to.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Our technicians receive a yearly performance review. During the review we set goals for both training and performance as well as ask for feedback on our technician teams leads, shop foreman, and service director.

What type of safety training is required?

We have annual safety training for all employees, OSHA compliant, as well as 609 A/C Freon Certification

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have multiple senior level master technicians that mentor our up-and-coming entry level technicians. When our trainees complete the mentoring program they will be ready to work primarily on their own with minimal oversight.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We primarily focus on our partnership with The Love Ran Red Foundation. This foundation focuses on helping adults with Autism and developmental disabilities lead comfortable lives as well as assisting them when their parents are no longer able to care for them.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Our Service Director is a member of Northampton Community College Advisory Committee, as well as Bethlehem Area Votech School Advisory Committee. Also one of LCTI’s automotive instructors works part time in our Honda Shop. Our owner, Andy Wright, is a member of the Northeast Region Honda Advisory Board to which he helps shape the direction of the retail environment of our industry.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Our dealerships are on the cutting edge of technology regarding EV, Hybrid, and the future of the Automotive Industry. We are always at the leaders of our industry as it evolves and will never be left behind.

We are a partner and sponsor with The PP&L center in Allentown. Go Phantoms!

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We have a very standard application process that can be completed online or a paper application.

We typically conduct a very brief phone interview.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We do not conduct interviews in a conventional way. Our company culture is very important to us and our interview process is primarily to determine if a candidate is a good fit for our company.

All applicants may be subjected to criminal background checks and motor vehicle checks.

We do not conduct skill assessments.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $25 - $30/hour

We have a very aggressive technician bonus program as well as training incentives from the manufacturer.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $20 - $25/hour

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $17 - $20/hour

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $15 - $17/hour

We have a very aggressive technician training and mentor program.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $45,000 - $150,000/year

Our service advisors receive a base salary and a bonus up to 6% of parts and labor gross profit. There are other bonus incentives that change monthly and allow advisors to maximize their compensation for doing a truly exceptional job!

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $14 - $16/hour

We offer an aggressive mentor program for candidates that possess the right attitude and work ethic.

Express Service Shop Foreman Pay Range: $50,000 - $75,000/year

We are currently searching for the right person to lead our Express Service Department as it is growing rapidly. This individual will be skilled in every aspect of vehicle maintenance as well as light and medium duty repairs. This individual will all possess excellent leadership skills as well as patience.
