WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AS AN ENTRY-LEVEL DIESEL TECHNICIAN As an Entry-Level Diesel Technician, you will work alongside experienced technicians, performing minor repairs while training to build your knowledge. Preventative maintenance will become your specialty while you’re guided to troubleshoot and perform major repairs. You’ll be challenged to grow and work towards the next level of your career. RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards • Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial truck vehicles; such as oil changes, replacing brakes, and tire rotations • Complete standard component inspections and replace parts as needed • Ability to read repair orders, observe and listen to vehicles determine malfunctions and develop an effective work plan • Document all work performed and recommended repair orders • Adherence to all company and industry safety standards • Ability to organize the work presented and plan for the highest efficiency and productivity in the performance of all job functions • Continual training and development in support of individual career and company goals • Continue seeking opportunities to learn new skills by observing others, and working with advisors and mentors QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical certification on vehicle repairs • 1+ years of experience working with diesel engines and heavy duty trucks • Experience performing basic maintenance and repairs on commercial truck vehicles • Must have your own toolset to perform assigned responsibilities • Ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record ***Check out our website if you would like to learn more: https://www.lakesidetrucks.com/join-our-team/kick-start-for-techs/ LAKESIDE IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER
