Shop Talk
Top Shop Challenge: Training is a hot topic for technicians looking for a good shop to work at. Talk about the training you provide your techs or highlight some individuals who recently completed training or earned certifications.

Top Shop Challenge: Summer is just around the corner. What does your shop do differently in the summer?
We don't really switch things up much at the shop, but the guys love opening up the big doors to let in some fresh air. When summer or early fall rolls around, we throw our annual Komro Summer Picnic. We invite all the employees, their spouses, and kids to come hang out for the day, play games, eat good food, and enjoy some cold drinks. Everyone in the company really looks forward to this day because it's always a blast for everyone.
Top Shop Challenge: With MLB season fully underway, does your shop ever do team outings to a game? Even if it's not an MLB game, what other things do you do with the team?
Every year, we have a "Komro Summer Picnic"! It's a fun event where we invite all our amazing employees, their families, and children to join us for a day filled with yard games, delicious food, and some refreshing beverages. We even have prizes to give away, including a cash prize for the winning team of the bean bag tournament. It's a day that everyone looks forward to and a great way for everyone to come together and enjoy each other's company.
Top Shop Challenge: Does your shop help out any local schools? Share some of the things you do to help fuel the next generation.
A group of students from the local high school recently visited our office for a comprehensive tour of our facilities and to gain insight into the various services provided by Komro Sales and Service. During their visit, they had the opportunity to observe our mechanics, welders, and fabricators in action in the shop. In the near future, we will be visiting the high school to engage with seniors enrolled in small engine and welding classes. Our aim is to discuss potential job prospects and opportunities available to them post-graduation.
