Shop Talk

Top Shop Challenge: What is your process for onboarding a new technician? How do you make them feel welcome while also ensuring they learn everything they need to know?

When a new tech joins us, we kick things off with a "meet & greet" tour. We'll stroll around the whole building, pointing out where everything is and introducing them to everyone we run into. After that, we’ll dive into HR orientation, and the rest of the day is all about safety training. Then the shop service manager will hang out with them for a day or so to help them settle in and get to know the shop and the other techs.
