8am - 5pm Monday - Friday No weekends!!

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We provide all major tools, technicians provide their own set of basic tools. We have an apprentice program which provides $3000 worth of tool at end of year they own the tools and tool box

What type of break room facility is provided?

Our break room includes two tables, microwave, sink, snacks, fridge

How many bays does your shop have?

18 bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

1500 per month

What is your parts ordering process?

Overnight parts, parts are ordered electronically through XTime

What is your policy on side work?

Ask manager for approval

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer GM training and technicians are paid to complete trainings. Online and hands on trainings offered once a year.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

The people that we hire are the most important! We want people to be in spots where they are happy to be in and fits best for them. We are always open to moving employees to different parts of the business. We even allow employees to shadow other parts of the business.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Performance reviews are completed once a year where we review training process, goals, where to improve etc..

What type of safety training is required?

Safety trainings to be completed once a year, held a dealership over 3 days.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our lube technicians work with or next to our more experienced technicians on a daily basis to learn and ask questions when needed.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Pay for sponsorships with University of Vermont basketball team. We also sponsor local youth leagues.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We work with a local technical school where one of our technicians graduated from we also donate parts, and talk to classes.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We want to continue to grow and add more bays to gain twice the output and we need experienced technicians to join our team to do so!

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We do have an online application that will take about 10 minutes to complete.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Phone screens are not required. We try to get people in right away for in person interviews.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Our in-person interviews include a shop tour, meeting with shop foreman, and they usually about an hour. We talk about the dealership, get background and experience from candidate, and goals from candidate.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do require background checks and drug screens.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Skills assessments are not required

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

When possible we try to make offers on the spot but can be within 72 hours as well.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000/year

Flat Rate, all training is paid, unlimited hours and earning potential.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $80,000/year

Flat Rate, all training is paid, unlimited hours and earning potential.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000/year

Incentive based program with bonus opportunities

Service Manager
Service Managers are responsible for management and overall health of the shop. Service Managers are typically focused on running an efficient shop that meets their financial goals. Other responsibilities can include staffing, performance evaluations, and financial analysis amongst many other responsibilities.
Pay Range: $75,000 - $125,000/year

Salary + Incentive based program with bonus opportunities

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $16 - $20/hour

Apprentice program provides $3000 worth of tool and at the end of year they own the tools and tool box.
