While we have been around since 1997 we started offering our equipment to the public in 2006 and with the expansion in 2017 to the Oak Grove facility we can handle your Mechanical, Emission/Regen, and Collision Repair. We have a part department that is second to none. When some says I know a guy it is usually one of the staff. Mark Scheer has been here for 22 years and Katie Yockel over 5 now and they know where to find the best quality for the best price. Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

All shops are heated with radiant heating source that heat from the ground up.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have 4 people currently in the body shop, 6 in Mechanical and 3 in the parts department.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open 8 to 5 Mon thru Fri. Tech hours are 8am to 4pm with a half hour lunch

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have just about every tool needed for all the different makes, Lifts, jacks, 7 laptops with all major manufactures oem software.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We offer a lunch/break area in both shops along with Clean up area and restrooms.

How many bays does your shop have?

8 mechanical and 9 body shop

How many repair orders do you average per month?

120

What is your parts ordering process?

Our service and parts portal is Fullbay a cloud based software that allows us to track our SO's order parts and communicate with all departments.

What is your policy on side work?

All work is to be performed thru KC WHOLESALE

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Our job is to bring the work into the shop, we guarantee 40 hours a week.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer on the job training and have several providers for outside training.

We perform 6 month reviews to go over issues, concerns and efficiency.

What type of safety training is required?

Common sense and background with all the tools used in the shop.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Everyone provides knowledge and background on various jobs to one another.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We have several local fund raisers.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Wish we had kids wanting to learn.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We have 8 Mechanical and 9 for the body shop currently, in the fall of 2022 we will be completing an additional shop with 6 oversize bays for our larger units.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We have an employment form that takes roughly 15-20 minutes.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

We do both phone and in-person interviews.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We will discuss applicant's background, previous work background, and experiences.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

All applicant will have background checks and must be able to pass drug screen.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Each applicant will meet with the department head during the interview to assess skill level and background.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Most of the time it is same or next day.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Depends on when the in-person interview take place.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $50,000 - $70,000/year

All compensation is based on level of experience and aptitude.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $52,000/year

All compensation is based on level of experience and aptitude.

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $28,000 - $38,000/year

All compensation is based on level of experience and aptitude.

Collision Technician - A Level Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000/year

All compensation is based on level of experience and aptitude.

Collision Technician - B Level Pay Range: $40,000 - $52,000/year

All compensation is based on level of experience and aptitude.
