What is your policy on side work?
KanEquip technicians are prohibited from performing mechanical work or repairs on agricultural, construction, or consumer equipment for compensation during the period of their employment with KanEquip for any person, business, or entity other than KanEquip. Further, all employees are strictly prohibited from purchasing KanEquip parts or equipment for resale, selling, or using KanEquip’s scrap or surplus materials or supplies for any unauthorized purpose, or engaging in any financial transaction which creates a conflict of interest with the Company’s business.

Inexperienced technicians are mentored by more senior level technicians on more advanced processes and troubleshooting
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Heavily involved in the Community - County Fairs, Donations, Parades, Porkchop on a Stick Feeds
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Yes, actively involved with high schools and FFA chapters, as well as numerous Nebraska Technical colleges and universities

Syracuse is a great small town community with easy access to 2 major metropolitan areas - Lincoln and Omaha

Yes, light interview to gauge the interest level of the candidate

Shop tour, face-to-face review of position and candidate's interests

Drug screening is required of all applicants, background checks and Motor Vehicle Records check

We do offer a technician proficiency test

Diesel Service Technician
Pay Range: $22.00 - $32.00/hour
Dependent on Experience $3,000 Experienced Technician Sign-on Bonus for Qualified Technicians Productivity Incentive Pay
Mobile Diesel Service Technician
Pay Range: $24.00 - $34.00/hour
Dependent on Experience $5,000 Experienced Technician Sign-on Bonus for Qualified Technicians Productivity Incentive Pay
Diesel Technician Intern (2023-2024)
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour
To provide a paid hands-on learning experience and opportunity to develop mechanical and diagnostic skills for students who are pursuing an Associates of Applied Science in Agriculture Power/Technology, Diesel & Heavy Equipment or Diesel Technology.
Service Manager
Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $74,000.00/year
Plus commission/incentive, based on experience
