Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Shop is heated, also currently getting air conditioning installed for spring time to come

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Fixed ops consist of 3 service advisors, 3 lube techs, 10 techs and apprentices. And 4 parts counter personal. Service manager, assistance service manager, shop foreman, Parts manager, Wholesale parts department, and parts drivers

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Shop hours are Monday- Friday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 7: 30 am to 3:00 pm, techs work M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 7:30 to 3:00 pm with the ability to leave early Saturdays. And every 3rd Saturday rotation

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We provide all special tools for FCA, Brand new tire machines, new press, new alignment rack, and brake lathe

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a/c in the break room, with tables and chairs to relax and enjoy your lunch. In the break room there are vending machines, microwaves, refrigerator, and sink.

How many bays does your shop have?

3 express lube bays, 22 back shop bays and 2 detail bays. and in shop carwash

How many repair orders do you average per month?

1200-1500 per month customer pay warranty and internal

What is your parts ordering process?

Techs get approval for repairs and submit electronic parts request to be pulled or ordered

What is your policy on side work?

Family and personal vehicles can be worked on buy tech after normal business hours with a repair order open for insurance reasons. Family and friends worked on during hours will be charged at employee rate $39 hour if during working hours

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We as a large dealer group have access to unlimited resources to provide what it takes to make techs's jobs as easy as can be. And competitive pay for techs.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We require online factory training to be done in accordance with the manufacture. When prerequisite training is complete and classroom training is available we will pay for all training, We also pay you while training on site or off site training. We also offer scholarship programs and tuition reimbursement for continued education

Can you describe your performance review process?

Performance reviews are conducted three times in the first year, then yearly after that. We also utilize succession planning which is instrumental to ensure the continuous internal growth of our team members.

What type of safety training is required?

Safety is extremely important to us so this is ongoing and there are training courses on a Asbury university web based training modules. And training courses are completed annually.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

When a entry level tech joins the team they are paired with a master/senor tech to tech them the process, work flow and structure. The time the new team member spends with a mentor depends on the skill level and the ability to grow to be on their own flat rate. Team members are happy to teach the trade.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We as a company partner with countless charity events as well as local community initiatives. And provide the option for employees to participate in community activities with pay.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are partnered with several local schools as well as pride ourselves in being a Preferred Partner with several technical colleges throughout the country assisting with resume building, mock interviewing, campus career fairs as well as offering Tuition reimbursement to Technical gradates who we on board through this partnership.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Kahlo has always continued to grow. And plans to grow in the next 5 years plans to double in the hours currently produced and get to the point of planning a remodel of the shop to add on bays to grow the team to be the largest chrysler jeep dodge ram service departments in the state.

Yes, the application takes approximately 5-10 minutes.

Yes, our Recruiting team will reach out to all candidates to discuss what the applicant is seeking in an employer as well as provide some information about the company as well as discuss what benefits we offer.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Our in person interviews will consist of a meeting with the hiring manager, assistant manager, shop foreman and also the gm, to discuss the candidate professional experience, the job duties, expectations, schedule and compensation

We strive to ensure that all candidates receive a response as quickly as possible. Average is within 24 hrs after interviewing with the hiring manager.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $62,000 - $120,000/year

Weekly pay direct deposits on Friday. Flat rate scale above NADA median average. As well as production accelerators in place for weekly hours produced.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $39,000 - $72,000/year

Weekly pay direct deposits on Friday. Flat rate scale above NADA median average. As well as production accelerators in place for weekly hours produced.

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $30,000 - $49,000/year

Weekly pay direct deposits on Friday. Flat rate scale above NADA median average. As well as production accelerators in place for weekly hours produced.

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $21,000 - $33,000/year

Paid hourly as well as a monthly bonus for every filter, battery, and set of wipers sold for the month period. With the ability to grow and do training to become an entry level tech/apprentice.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000/year

Paid weekly based on a percentage of gross labor customer pay and warranty pay. As well as paid weekly for every tire, battery, brake job, and alignment sold. And the ability of a monthly CSI bonus if Your overall CSI score is above the district average score for the month.

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $15 - $20/hour

Paid weekly, Paid flat rate, or hourly depending on skill level. With weekly accelerators in place. We offer the ability to become an entry level tech/ apprentice and be taught the automotive industry ins and outs by our senor leveled FCA technicians and shop foreman
