Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Yes, the shop is newly renovated in 2024 with all new equipment and facilities completely upgraded climate controlled facility with state of the art HVAC system.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Twenty to twenty five technicians

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Shop runs 2 shifts 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Mon - Sat. Technicians work on one of two shifts 5 days a week. Saturdays are rotating.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Ford Rotunda special tools. Technicians need basic hand tools. Tools assistance program is available for new technicians.

What type of break room facility is provided?

New break room with kitchen, multiple dining tables, and vending machines

How many bays does your shop have?

Twenty-nine with two alignment bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

1000 + per month

What is your parts ordering process?

Utilize X-Time. $1M parts inventory on site. Parts staff available to purchase parts as necessary.

What is your policy on side work?

Personal vehicles requires a Repair Order and approval from Shop Foreman

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Ford STARS Web-based training and certifications. On site Ford training and certifications. Top Techs Rewards Program.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

In addition to the vertical growth as a service technician, there are opportunities to branch out and explore other areas of responsibility. The company has eight dealerships and 10 service centers. Majority of our Service Managers were promoted within with a few being former service technicians.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Daily engagement with weekly review of RO's and production

What type of safety training is required?

Safety training through KPA. Vendors also provide equipment safety training.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Senior technicians have opportunity to mentor technician interns without affecting their production. Opportunities are available for trade school students to work on a part or full time basis as technician interns while in school.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Teacher of the Month Recognition. Food drive during major holidays. Gift and Toy drive during Christmas. Sponsorships with local high schools sports teams.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Our managers and corporate staff are heavily involved with local and out of State trade schools to promote a service technician career. We frequent trade schools for career fairs and also attend events as speakers to discuss benefits of attending trade schools to high school students. We also partner with Ford staff to host career days on site at our dealerships for current high school students.

No formal skill assessment. Assessment is done through the interview process

C Level Technician Pay Range: $25.00 - $32.50/hour

May include additional flag rate bonus depending on technician qualifications. Shift differential applied to off shift positions.

Student Tech / Apprentice Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00/hour

May include additional flag rate bonus depending on technician qualifications. Shift differential applied to off shift positions.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $45.00 - $55.00/hour

Flag rate. Guaranteed compensation offered for a transition period (typically 30 - 120 days).

B Level Technician Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00/year

Flag rate. Guaranteed compensation offered for a transition period (typically 30 - 120 days)

Health Insurance Offered
Health insurance is eligible on the first day of the month after sixty days of continuous employment. We offer 2 different medical plans through Aetna: PPO and HDHP
Dental Insurance Offered
Dental insurance is eligible on the first day of the month after sixty days of continuous employment. Dental plan is offered through MetLife.
Vision Insurance Offered
Vision insurance is eligible on the first day of the month after sixty days of continuous employment. Visiion plan is offered through MetLife.
Retirement Plan Offered
401K eligibility is first day of the month after six months of continuous employment. 401K is automatic enrollment of 3% of employee's pay. Employee has option to opt out of automatic enrollment.
Sick Leave Offered
Hourly associates would utilize PTO (see note under vacation policy)
Vacation Offered
One week of paid vacation awarded on employee's one year anniversary; two weeks paid vacation after two years. Additionally, up to fifteen days of PTO is available.
Paid Holidays Offered
Full time employees are eligible for paid holidays after ninety days of continuous employment.
ST / LT Disability Offered
Disabiliy available during benefits enrollment on the first day of the month following sixty days of continuous employment
