Currently have over 20 employees as part of our service department.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Flexible hours on shift. Our dealership's service department is open: 8:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm - Saturday
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We offer all specialty tools, all necessary programming tools, all networking tools, and MOPAR approved tools.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We offer a standard table and chairs in our break room, along with a refrigerator and microwave. We also offer lockers for our service team at our location.
How many bays does your shop have?
17 total bays including quick lube.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average 850 - 1,100 repair orders monthly.
What is your parts ordering process?
Customer pay, if car is not on lot, customer must pay deposit.
What is your policy on side work?
None in our shop.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
This facility is only 2 years old.

Yes, we are proudly enrolled in the Degrees@Work program and have countless employees enrolled in Strayer University through this program at no cost to our team.

Quarterly and yearly performance reviews performed.
What type of safety training is required?
All OEM required safety training is required as a standard.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
As an example, when we identify a strong candidate, we have been able to place that individual as a paid apprentice under one senior tech as their mentor/trainer, while they also dedicate the rest of their time as a C-tech.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
The Jimmy Britt Automotive Family is steeped in charitable givings and countless philanthropic initiatives for locals community groups, schools, and charities.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We have provided details about our available openings to tech schools in the past.
Where do you see the shop in five years?
As a bustling center of activity, friendliness, and respect.
Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?
Our application form is a standard job application, typically filled out in under 5 minutes.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
If applicants live outside of our area, we often call to perform a phone screen first.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
In general, applicants meet with our General Manager, and in some cases, our Fixed Ops Director. Depending on the position, a Service Manager may also interview you. Standard question and answer set-up generally lasting from 30-35 minutes.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Background checks and drug screens are utilized before a candidate officially begins work.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
This is typically not something we do with any regularity.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
For the most part, decisions to hire are made within a 3-5 day time frame after a thorough interview is conducted.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
We believe growing our team the right way, with the right people, takes time. With that said, we try not to rush to any decisions, but do certainly take a level of expediency in consideration when needed based on the right applicant's situation.

We utilize Hireology which allows us to better structure our recruiting, hiring, and interview process.
A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $35 - $45/hour

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $20 - $35/hour

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $15 - $30/hour

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $14 - $20/hour

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $35,000 - $65,000/year

Service Manager
Service Managers are responsible for management and overall health of the shop. Service Managers are typically focused on running an efficient shop that meets their financial goals. Other responsibilities can include staffing, performance evaluations, and financial analysis amongst many other responsibilities.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $125,000/year

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $14 - $20/hour
