Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm (doors close at 6:00 pm) Saturday 1/2 day rotation - every seven weeks

Snap-on tool box-built ins- all manufacturer-required special tools Hunter wheel alignment-tire mount and balance equipment
What type of break room facility is provided?
There is a fridge, sink, microwave, coke machine, snacks, tables and chairs, and a window with a view of the mountains.
How many bays does your shop have?
22 lifts
How many repair orders do you average per month?
600-700
What is your parts ordering process?
The technician requests, the Service Advisor approves, and the Parts department orders the parts.
What is your policy on side work?
Not allowed other than immediate family.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
LED lighting, epoxy floor, 3-year-old ARCH facility, Snap-On built-in tool cabinets
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We have multiple opportunities for training and continuing education. Our primary program is PRO TECH, which aims to recognize, develop, retain, and reward techs at all levels. We also provide more general career training through our RIGHT Step series, and scholarship opportunities for employees and their families. Ongoing factory training is required to maintain LR certification.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Through our PRO TECH program, techs have the opportunity to get hands-on training, learning new skills, advancing their career, and earning raises, bonuses, and special gifts along the way. Ken Garff promotes from within whenever possible. Many higher job roles, including management roles, have been filled from service wash/porter/parts driver positions.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Through our PRO TECH program, techs have the opportunity to get hands-on training, learning new skills, advancing their career, and earning raises, bonuses, and special gifts along the way. There is a 1:1 discussion with the service manager typically once a quarter-yearly review and “next achievement” discussion.
What type of safety training is required?
OSHA safety regulations-safety glasses/anti-slip footwear- eye and hearing protection provided by dealer.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Mentors and senior techs may have formal apprentice training. The shop foreman mentors, helps, and evaluates techs on an ongoing basis.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
With our We’re Hear for You program, we give back to the community multiple times a year. We’ve built bikes for local foster children, provided meals to food-insecure students, revitalized community centers, and much more!
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Working on Trade school relationships and career paths. We have hired three graduates.
Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?
Our core team at Land Rover Lehi has been together for 25 years. We have a small family-owned dealership culture and feel. Ken Garff and Land Rover Lehi are an established dealership with an outstanding reputation.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes. First, a recruiter will email the applicant and invite them to schedule a time on the calendar for a phone screening. This is about a 15-20-minute conversation. If all goes well, we schedule the applicant for an in-person interview if they are local or a virtual interview if they are out of state.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
This panel interview usually includes the Service Manager, Shop Foreman, HR Manager, and General Manager.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We perform a background check and drug screening after the applicant accepts a contingent job offer.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No, skill assessment is done through the interview process
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
We usually inform the applicant within 3-5 days.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
About 1-2 weeks.
Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?
If the applicant is out of state and looking to relocate to Utah, we would invite them to visit the dealership first in person before making a job offer. We cover or reimburse the travel expenses.
A Level Technician (Level 4)
Pay Range: $36.00 - $42.00/hour
A Level Technician (level 4) $36 - $42 per hour, based on experience and certifications
B Level Technician (Level 3)
Pay Range: $32.00 - $36.00/hour
B Level Technician (level 3) $32 - $36 per hour, based on experience and certifications

- Choose the provider that works best for you and those on your plan between Aetna and UHC. PPO vs. HDHP plan. Employees pay only $250 per month. Employees plus their spouses pay $750 per month. Families pay $800 per month. Wellness discounts are available up to $100 off per month.

- Administered by Principal Financial Group. You may choose to contribute 1% to 100% of your pay (limited by IRS regulations). You are eligible to receive the company match on the first of the month after 30 days. The company will match 50% of the first 4% of your contribution.

- 80 hours of WTO per year for sick or vacation. Amount increases after the 5th year with the company.
