YES, we have an air conditioner in the shop N/A for the heat: Coral Gables Florida averages 78 degrees in the winter

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Ten full line technicians, one Shop Foreman, a team of professional parts personnel, advisors, and large support staff that all help support and build shop production

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We currently operate between 7 am-7 pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 8 am-5 pm. Most of our techs work 8-5, but we are open to creative schedules like 4 12s, Tuesday through Saturday, or flexible part-time schedules for students still in school.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

The full array of tools as recommended by our manufacturer, additionally we supply other specialty tools and diagnostic machines for both Infiniti as well as other make vehicles

What type of break room facility is provided?

The break room is equipped with a Microwave and Refrigerator

How many bays does your shop have?

We have 13 bays in Infitit of Coral Gables

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We average about 800 per month

What is your parts ordering process?

Recently implemented X-time to allow for seamless electronic parts quotes, and ordering, offering direct communication with our team; dedicated expert parts staff, and our professional advisor staff.

What is your policy on side work?

We offer a fast-paced and full schedule that focuses on booking at max capacity. Considerations for personal and immediate family members are made at the discretion of the managers.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Our shop is a stand-alone facility separate from our showroom, this allows for fewer outside interruptions, and more focus on a fun and productive work environment.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer the Matrix program for our on boarding technicians and offer continued on site education.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We support training, and certifications through internal, and external sources. Technicians often work their way up through the ranks by gaining and expanding their knowledge base. It is very possible to grow into a team lead, shop foreman, or service management position.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We hope to provide regular feedback, and coaching daily. More formal reviews can happen at 6 and 12-month intervals. That is based on various metrics including production, certifications, attendance, and other key points at the manager's discretion.

What type of safety training is required?

Training provided by Manufacture as well as a dedicated program that focuses just on health and safety. Training is done online, and sometimes in-person as well as onsite.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We consider our tech staff family, everyone gets involved. Entry-level staff is often paired with more senior members in their position. We encourage skill cross-training and full development for technicians based on the individual's willingness, and aptitude

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We hope to expand on this in the future.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Actively working on a proposal.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Outgrowing and expanding our facility.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We have a paper app, and a online app through the website. It usually takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, sometimes we do ask questions over the phone before the in person interview.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

The candidate will go to the dealership, and meet with the Service Manager and or Manager for that position.

We do background checks

It can take anywhere from 5 days to 30 days.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $87,000 - $106,000/year

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $68,000 - $87,000/year

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $30,000 - $48,000/year

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $30,000 - $48,000/year

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $68,000 - $72,000/year

Service Manager
Service Managers are responsible for management and overall health of the shop. Service Managers are typically focused on running an efficient shop that meets their financial goals. Other responsibilities can include staffing, performance evaluations, and financial analysis amongst many other responsibilities.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $120,000/year
