Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The shop is heated but not Air Conditioned. We have a swamp cooler that we use during the summer.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Team of 3-4 technicians.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

The shop hours of operations are Monday through Fridays 8am to 5pm. No weekends!

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Tools are recommended, but not mandatory. We have tools on-site available for technicians to use.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a showroom and customer lounge that has a fridge and microwave.

How many bays does your shop have?

4 bays with a dual post lift.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

30+

What is your parts ordering process?

We maintain an adequate number of parts in stock for quicker turnaround on all repairs.

What is your policy on side work?

The company currently does not have a side work policy.

We offer on-the-job training as well as remote training from multiple vendors whom we use.

Can you describe your performance review process?

New hires receive a 90-day performance review that is not rated, it is feedback-based so that our new employees receive valuable feedback on how they are adapting to their new role. All other employees receive a rated annual review.

What type of safety training is required?

Basic OSHA-required training.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our experienced technicians work hands-on in training and mentoring new technicians. They will be available to answer questions, and work side-by-side when time permits

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes. One initial phone screen only.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

During an in-person interview, we like to get to know the candidate. We fully explain what the role is, so the candidate knows exactly what the role requires. We then ask questions pertaining to education, experience, goals, and competencies. We also review the benefits offered by the company and give a brief walk-through of the shop.

Mobility Technician Pay Range: $18.00 - $30.00/hour

Hourly rate based on technical level as well as a flagged hour bonus every month.
