Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Our shop is heated to compete with the cold WI winters. However, there is no A/C.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

The Heiser Team is made up of 15 skilled Technicians with 6 being Master Toyota Technicians.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Heiser Toyota's Shop is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7am-6pm Wednesday 7am-8pm Saturday 8am-4:30pm 9-hour shifts with 1 hour lunch

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Our shop has a variety of tools that are accessible to everyone.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Heiser employee comfort is important which is why we provide a break room equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, tv, and lockers for your uniform!

How many bays does your shop have?

There are 23 bays and 1 alignment rack at our Heiser Toyota Shop.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We average about 1,300 repair orders per month.

What is your parts ordering process?

The ordering process takes place through DMS and the parts department.

What is your policy on side work?

Side work is a topic we handle on a case-by-case basis. Talk to us!

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Career development and skill building is a priority at Heiser Toyota. We partner our Lube Tech with a Certified Tech so everyone has a mentor they can learn from and ask questions to. Having a mentor in the shop allows our team to continue to grow and develop their skills. Toyota also offers a variety of online or in-person Toyota training classes that are available for our team to sign up for.

To ensure Career Development and skill building continues to be a priority at Heiser Toyota. Our team has meetings to discuss progress in achieving goals and developing skills that want/need to be developed. Heiser offers a self-paced career growth environment to meet everyone's needs.

Heiser hosts monthly and annual performance reviews that tracks progress along with areas of strength and opportunities for each team member.

What type of safety training is required?

Safety is our top priority at Heiser. With on-the-job training with Certified Techs, Heiser Toyota can ensure a safe work environment for the whole team.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We partner our Lube Tech with a Certified Tech so everyone has a mentor they can learn from and ask questions too. This allows Techs on all levels to make all types of repairs on a variety of makes and models on vehicles. Having a mentor in the shop allows our team to continue to grow and develop their skills.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Heiser is always looking for ways to get involved in the local community. We are open to suggestions regarding community involvement.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Our youth are our future! Heiser has worked closely with local high school shop classes to mentor students in the industry as they work to develop their skills and compete at the state level. Milwaukee Area Technical Collage encourages students by introducing our dealership to their students as a career path.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

The future of Heiser Toyota is full of growth! We would like to add onto the existing building and install more lifts to serve more customers and expand our team.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Initially you may upload a resume. The process to upload a resume will take only a few minutes.

Depending on the position, you may be asked to take part in a phone interview prior to an in-person interview.

We perform background checks and drug screenings.

Applicants are asked about skills during the interview process. There is not a formal assessment.

Our process us quite fast. Typically offers are in a few days of the interviews.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

A few days to about 2 weeks depending on the position.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $30.00 - $50.00/hour

Flat rate Technicians have unlimited earning potential.

B Level Technician Pay Range: $25.00 - $40.00/hour

Flat rate Technicians have unlimited earning potential.

Service Advisor Pay Range: $30,000.00 - $100,000.00/year

Service Advisors have unlimited earning potential.

C Level Technician Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00/hour

Flat rate Technicians have unlimited earning potential.

Lube Technician Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00/hour
