Great lateral support program with senior techs and team leads always available to help and mentor younger technicians

All employees are provided with on-site, on-line as well as dealer specific training opportunities.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Here at Haselwood, we believe our employees are our greatest asset. Growth opportunities up to Gold Master Tech and lead and management opportunities. Opportunities include the ability to move up in the shop to master technician, team lead positions, shop foreman, availability to become a mentor, or opportunities to move into different positions throughout the auto group, other brands, service advisors, service manager, fixed ops director, sales, finance, parts, etc.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Annually on the employee's anniversary date, and periodically throughout the year at your managers discretion.
What type of safety training is required?
We comply with federal and state safety laws and guidelines and provide required and appropriate training.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Our technicians are paired with Lead and Senior technicians to mentor and grow them within their field.

At Haselwood Auto Group, we take great pride in aiding our community. Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We serve on advisory committees for Shoreline Community College, West Sound Technical School, Pierce County Skills Center and South Kitsap High School. Our managers and technicians serve as judges for Skills USA competitions in our Region. Additionally, we participate at Career Fairs and Events at area High Schools including Bainbridge Island High School, Bremerton High School, North Kitsap High School, Olympic High School, Renaissance High School and South Kitsap High School

We're always looking to grow as a company. Building out our book of business, and putting a hard working staff around us is something we will always strive for
Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?
Yes, our online application can be accessed on haselwood.com (follow the career link). It typically takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, our managers initially reach out to candidates for telephone interviews.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
We engage with our technicians to get to know them, their background, specialties, interests and goals.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We conduct background checks, drug screening and a motor vehicle records check.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
Not currently.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Ultimately, the candidate will know of interest at the time of interview, pending reference checks and pre-employment screening requirements.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
This process varies but hiring decisions are made quickly.
A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $33 - $40/hour
Pay Range: $33.00 - $40.00 • 80% Clocked hours guaranteed up to a max of 40 hours per payroll week • Plus annual wage increase on February 1st based on Dept of Labor December publication of Consumer Price Index • 100% Employer paid health care premium paid for employee
B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $28 - $33/hour
• 80% Clocked hours guaranteed up to a max of 40 hours per payroll week • Plus annual wage increase on February 1st based on Dept of Labor December publication of Consumer Price Index • 100% Employer paid health care premium paid for employee
C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $22 - $28/hour

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $17 - $22/hour
• Plus annual wage increase on February 1st based on Dept of Labor December publication of Consumer Price Index • 100% Employer paid health care premium paid for employee
Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $42,000 - $120,000/year

Service Manager
Service Managers are responsible for management and overall health of the shop. Service Managers are typically focused on running an efficient shop that meets their financial goals. Other responsibilities can include staffing, performance evaluations, and financial analysis amongst many other responsibilities.
Pay Range: $96,000 - $240,000/year
