Under The Hood

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

10-12 technicians 3 service advisors and 1 dispatcher

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

8-5 Monday - Friday 8-4 Saturdays alternating schedules

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

All latest hunter equipment for tires and alignments, We have a Cuda giant parts washer to help speed productivity for any job that requires parts to be cleaned. We provide laptops / tablets and each tech will receive 1 micro pod.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Brand new brake room above the shop

What is your parts ordering process?

We stock most fast moving parts, will overnight any part that is available depending on the job status. We have a large wholesale business and keep a lot off parts in stock

What is your policy on side work?

Personal cars and immediate family members are allowed on personal time. A repair order must be generated

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Strong teamwork! Our shop everyone makes time to lend a hand. We all work towards 1 common goal

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We pay for factory training online and in person but our best training is our mentorship and guidance from within the shop. We have top techs that are willing to help mentor you to grow your career!

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

The sky is the limit at our shop and we want our qualified applicants to grow with it. We offer mentorship from our top techs, factory training that is paid for and the equipment needed to perform at a high level. If you have a great worth ethic that Healey is the place for you.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We evaluate each technician on an individual basis. It is based on their ability (tech level), work ethic and performance.

What type of safety training is required?

Safety is our a priority here. We use a 3rd party company that does safety meetings and we also teach safety in house and is watched closely by management.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We partner the tech with a Level 3 tech to mirror them and learn from the best. They take the time to show you right from wrong and how to become more efficient at the task.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Healey brothers Inc is with dozens of different charities/community events. Just to name a few our kids bike giveaway at Christmas and our donation to the Beacon school district. We actually have started our own foundation (Healey Brothers Driven to Give) and a part of it will be giving out scholarships.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

At times we will visit the trade schools to help encourage them

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Growth! We are thriving and now have the ability to grow with the new facility. We want our team to grow with it and become the best shop in our auto group.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

We are the largest auto dealer group in the Hudson Valley for a reason. We love our community and we love our employees. We want both to flourish and we will do what is necessary to make that happen. We have over 500 employees who live local and we always want to grow our team and help every single one of them grow as well!

Level 0 Technician Pay Range: $35,000 - $50,000/year

Flat Rate + Bonuses

Level 1 Technician Pay Range: $50,000 - $65,000/year

Flat Rate + Bonuses

Level 2 Technician Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000/year

Flat Rate + Bonuses

Level 3 Technician Pay Range: $85,000 - $135,000/year

Flat Rate + Bonuses

Health Insurance Offered
The Empire BCBS EPO (Exclusive Provider Organization) plan delivers in-network only benefits. Members must seek care from participating providers, except in the case of a life-or limb-threatening emergency. If care is received from a non-participating provider, the claim will not be paid. It is the member’s responsibility to confirm that the providers and specialists they are seeing participate in the network. • Embedded Deductible: Each covered family member only needs to satisfy his/her individual deductible, not the entire family deductible, prior to receiving plan benefits. • Embedded Out-of-Pocket Maximum: Once the member has reached the individual out-of-pocket maximum, services will be covered 100% for that individual for the remainder of the calendar year. • Inpatient admissions, outpatient surgery, x- rays, high level imaging, mental health and substance abuse require preauthorization. Please refer to your Certificate of Coverage for detailed information.
Dental Insurance Offered
The Empire PPO dental plan allows you the freedom to select the dentist of your choice. You can utilize a large network of participating dentists who accept Empire Contracted Fee Schedule as payment in full after deductible and coinsurance. Out-of-network providers may not accept Usual, Customary, and Reasonable (UCR) reimbursement for the geographic area where services are received as payment in full and may balance bill without limit.
Vision Insurance Offered
The Empire Blue View vision plan allows you the freedom of seeing the provider of your choice. If you choose an in-network provider, you will have lower out-of-pocket expenses. After you have exhausted your funded benefit, you are also eligible to access significant discounts on materials through participating network providers.

Short-Term Disability: Eligibility Regular full-time United States Employee working at least 30 hours per week. Weekly Benefit 60% of total weekly earnings.
