Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Yes our shop is heated and is very warm.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Our team consists of four techs, two service writers and an office manager
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday) NO WEEKENDS!!!!
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We provide all diagnostic tools such as scan tools, lab scopes, smoke machines, and all specialty tools. We have all the latest equipment and keep all our tools updated
What type of break room facility is provided?
We really don't have a break room, but we have a small area in the stock room where you can take a break.
How many bays does your shop have?
We have 13 lifts counting the drive-on alignment lift, each tech has two assigned lifts and the rest are what we call floaters
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average between 130 to 175 when we are fully staffed
What is your parts ordering process?
We order mostly online and the rest by phone. We receive the parts as soon as possible for technicians to finish repairs
What is your policy on side work?
I don't mind as long as it does not effect our shop
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We pay for all trainings that our technicians see value in. This includes ASE certifications and other trainings that might pop up
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We do hire B-Tech and sometimes C-Tech and have the move up to be an A-Tech. If a candidate is interested in this as a career route, we can help them down that career path
Can you describe your performance review process?
I am an ASE master tech with an advanced engine performance specialist so I work with them and review with techs one on one if needed
What type of safety training is required?
We do go over all safety training in-house
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We promote a team atmosphere at our shop. All of our techs work together when questions come up and work together to come to a solution
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We have been in the community for 47 years and try to support local vendors when possible
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
No, we've never had the opportunity to work with a school in the past but would not rule it out
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, we like to have an idea of the candidate's qualifications and gauge their interest level before we do an in-person interview
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Interview is done by the owner. We like to get an idea of the candidate's background and skill set. We also want to get to know them as a person and determine if we're a good fit for each other
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
No
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No formal skill assessment. Skill set is determined through the discovery process
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Two or three days

Pay Range: $45.00 - $55.00/hour
Flat-rate pay structure based on the technician's background, certifications, and skill set
B Level Technician
Pay Range: $38.00 - $44.00/hour
