7 Express Lane Technicians and 8 Technicians. There are 2 Express Lane Advisors and 4 Main Shop Advisors.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Shop hours are Monday through Friday 7:30AM-6:00PM, Saturday 8:00AM to 5:00PM

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Express Lane Technicians are provided all of the tools required for their job.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a large breakroom with area for sitting, a refrigerator, and microwave.

Entry level Express Maintenance Technicians have the opportunity to become an advanced maintenance technician, that leads into an apprenticeship program and eventual become a certified flat rate technician.

Can you describe your performance review process?

90 day reviews and ongoing reviews.

What type of safety training is required?

Annual online training via ComplyNet, and hands on training with immediate supervisors.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Express Maintenance Technicians have the opportunity to assist main shop technicians whenever there is down time, these relationships can lead into apprenticeships.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Gallatin Motors sponsors many local organizations including Heart of the Valley, ASPCA, National Park Foundation, Meals on Wheels, Stafford Animal Shelter, Reach Incorporated and Thrive, just to name a few.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Yes, we are involved with automotive programs at two local high schools.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, we like to ask some basic questions to see if employment with Gallatin Motors could be a good fit!

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In-person interviews are conducted by the Service Manager and Recruiter. We ask questions pertaining to the position as well as work ethic, personality, career goals. Interviews last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do perform Driver Standard background checks. We drug test when accidents on the job occur or if there is reasonable suspicion. We often ask for our applicants to complete a personality/work test that only takes about 20 minutes to complete.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Depending on the position, we may ask them to perform their skills for a day to see what their knowledge base is.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Usually between 1 and 3 days. The time frame may vary if the candidate is relocating to Bozeman.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $27.00 - $36.00/year

The Subaru Express Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for performing the requested services including oil changes, tire rotations and maintenance, fluid checks, and inspecting vehicle for possible repairs needed and maintaining the highest level of customer service, satisfaction, and retention. This is a great entry level position for people interested in the automotive industry with zero experience necessary.

Lube Technician Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00/year

The Subaru Express Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for performing the requested services including oil changes, tire rotations and maintenance, fluid checks, and inspecting vehicle for possible repairs needed and maintaining the highest level of customer service, satisfaction, and retention. This is a great entry level position for people interested in the automotive industry with zero experience necessary.

B Level Technician Pay Range: $23.00 - $30.00/year

Service Advisor Pay Range: $4,000.00 - $9,000.00/year
