What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Our shop consists of 4 Service Advisors and 10 Technicians, ranging from Tech Apprentices and Quick Service Lube Techs to ASE Master World Class Technicians.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Service Department Hours: Monday: 7am - 7pm Tuesday: 7am - 6pm Wednesday 7am - 6pm Thursday: 7am - 7pm Friday: 7am - 6pm Saturday: 8am - 4pm

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Our shop will provide diagnostic equipment, PC's, scan tools, etc.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have 2 break rooms dedicated for our employees to relax and enjoy lunch

How many bays does your shop have?

Our main shops consist of 24 bays and Quick Service consists of 4 bays. Jeep Location 10 bays Chrysler/Dodge Location 14 Bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We average 800 repair orders a month (Customer Pay & Warranty)

What is your policy on side work?

Technicians may work on their own vehicle as long as there is an open repair order assigned to that vehicle and it has been approved and signed by our Service Manager.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer and pay for all manufacture training for Technicians.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Our goal is that once we hire an employee that we are able to train, coach and mentor them to whatever heights they wish to reach. With multiple locations we always try to promote from within before looking outside of our organization.

Can you describe your performance review process?

It is done yearly by the Service Manager

What type of safety training is required?

Basic compliance training is done at beginning of employment.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

All technicians work together to repair the vehicles in a timely manner. Mentoring the younger technicians is done through an apprenticeship

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Sponsor multiple local school programs

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We work with multiple High Schools and college programs to provide job placement and continuous training and development.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

5 years from now will have us moving to more Electric automotive experience. We are changing with the times and making sure our staff is prepared and have the tools and training for the future.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We do have an application form that is to be filled out online and typically takes 5 minutes to complete

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Our in-person interviews consist of our applicant and Service Manager going over the applicant's work history, experiences, certifications and goals.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do send our applicants for a standard drug screen and our applicants will consent to a driving record check and background check.

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $75,000/year ($19.23 - $36.06/hr)

Pay is based on experience.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $175,000/year

Service Manager
Service Managers are responsible for management and overall health of the shop. Service Managers are typically focused on running an efficient shop that meets their financial goals. Other responsibilities can include staffing, performance evaluations, and financial analysis amongst many other responsibilities.
Pay Range: $75,000 - $200,000/year

Pay is based on experience.

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $25,000 - $45,000/year

Pay is based on experience.

Certified Service Technician Pay Range: $50,000 - $200,000/year
