Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The Shop is heated and air conditioned.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

There are 30 members in the team between parts and service.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday thru Friday 7am - 6pm Saturday 8am - 4pm Schedules vary depending on the position, technicians always work a 5 day work week.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Infiniti specialty tools that are organized in a tool room. 4 Consult III's and every bay has their own computer.

What type of break room facility is provided?

The break room has a microwave, small oven, full size refrigerator, coffee machine and a drink vending machine.

How many bays does your shop have?

14, including detail and wash bays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

2022 - we have averaged 500.

What is your parts ordering process?

We use Dealerlogix to help expedite the parts ordering process.

What is your policy on side work?

Has to be pre-approved by Service Director.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We have a strong group of Service Consultants, as a team we average 3.64 hours per CP repair orders. On an average, the work mix is 70% CP to 30% Warranty. Our Customer Service Index averages 14 points above National average.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We pride ourselves in keeping up with the latest technology. Infiniti training is available for the individual that shows they want to advance and ultimately become a Master Certified Technician.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Infiniti tech training is 100% paid Coulter Infiniti and I reimburse the technician for ASE's once they pass.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Performance reviews are a continuous process, we monitor performance on a daily basis.

What type of safety training is required?

Safety training is a daily occurrence, working in an environment that could potentially harm someone safety is our number one priority!

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Young techs will work with a mentor for a few weeks before they move on to the next mentor. I believe every mentor has a different skill set the young techs can learn from.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Throughout the year we get involved with different charities.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We currently work with our local EVIT tech school.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Stronger than ever, I believe our best days are ahead of us!

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We do require an application to be filled out, it takes about 15-20 minutes

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

I do, I like to see if they could potentially be a good fit before I waste their time.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Going over all aspects of the position and expectations. I leave plenty of time for the potential employee to ask questions.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do background checks and drug screening.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000/year

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $65,000/year

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $25,000 - $35,000/year

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $16 - $18/hour

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $120,000/year
