What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We provide all specialty tools and equipment
What type of break room facility is provided?
4 breakrooms. Rooms include fridge, freezers, microwave, table, chairs, coffee maker, there is also a vending area for our employees
How many bays does your shop have?
44 bays
How many repair orders do you average per month?
2,000
What is your parts ordering process?
Techs place orders with the parts department. The parts team takes care of ordering all of the parts and parts will be received as soon as possible for technicians to complete repairs as soon as possible
What is your policy on side work?
Techs can work after hours with management approval to work on immediate family vehicles, they will also need a repair order opened
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
All departments work together and hand-in-hand. We believe in a strong work environment and culture
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We promote skills training and continued education for our technicians. Our dealership will pay for all training, and send our team to any Ford trainings
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We always look to promote from within. We set our techs on career paths to help them achieve their goals. This includes from an entry-level tech to a senior tech, and even an opportunity for advisor or management roles if they're interested
Can you describe your performance review process?
We do goal-setting and objective reviews every month. We also do reviews about every six months. During the reviews we talk about the previous six months, review any trainings they've had and what might be coming up, where are they on their career path and how can we get them there
What type of safety training is required?
We do provide safety meetings when new techs are hired, and then once a month with the team. This meeting is safety-related, equipment-related, and Ford-related
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Entry-level techs, and student techs, are paired with a Senior, or Master Tech. They teach them repairs from bumper to bumper. Mentorship continues even when the lower level tech is on their own for a while
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We're heavily involved with our community. We participate in the Boys and Girls Club, The Humane Society, school events and sports, our local fair, FFA participation, and local food banks
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We hold roundtables with local high school instructors and community college. We promote the different Ford programs and in-house mentorships. We also sponsor our students with Ford, and give them an opportunity to work part-time or full-time with us
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
We prefer in-person
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Interview is done with the manager and possibly another high-ranking tech. Discussion includes some background on the candidate. What does their plan look like, is there a certain career path they would like to follow and we can help them achieve that. We also discuss our dealership culture, expectations, and company goals
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Background check and drug screen

No formal skill assessment. Assessment is done through the interview process

Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00/year
Flat rate pay structure with productivity bonuses, pay will be based on background, and certifications
B Level Technician
Pay Range: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00/year
Flat rate pay structure with productivity bonuses, pay will be based on background, and certifications
C Level Technician
Pay Range: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00/hour
Hourly paid position
Service Advisor
Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00/year

Student Tech / Apprentice
Pay Range: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00/year
