Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Yes, the shop is both Heated and Air Conditioned.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Each team ranges from 5-8 technicians.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Shop hours are Monday-Friday 7:00AM-6:00PM and Saturday 8:00AM-3:00PM. Shifts will vary depending on what team you are assigned to, and can range from 8-10 hours per day.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

The shop has Mopar Express Maintenance Carts that are provided for entry level lube specialists, as need. The shop has a numerous amount of Factory Required special tools and Diagnostic Equipment.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Our facility boasts a large break room with Direct TV, Microwaves, Refrigerators, Kitchen Area, and a Fresh Market Snack and Beverage Area.

How many bays does your shop have?

Our shop has a total of 46 bays including 2 State-Of-The-Art flush mount Hunter Alignment Machines, Rotary 4 Post Heavy Duty Lift, and large amounts of flat stall space.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We average between 2,000-2,500 Repair Orders per month.

What is your parts ordering process?

Technicians use an electronic Multi-Point Inspection System to recommend repairs, and services needed on vehicles. These inspections are sent to the on-site parts department and handled by the Parts Team.

What is your policy on side work?

Any work on personal vehicles must be approved by the Service Manager and have an Open Repair Order. This work must be done before or after scheduled shifts, or during scheduled time off.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

All Technicians are issued a MOPAR Student I.D. Number and have access to a variety of virtual, web based, and live classroom, Brand Specific, training. Technicians have the opportunity to advance from Entry Level all the way to Master Technician. All training is paid for, and Technicians are compensated for their training time, and travel, when required.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Corwin is committed to promoting from within. All of our Team Leads, Supervisors, Managers, and Owners started as front line, entry level employees.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Our Leadership Team meets with our employees, on a monthly basis, to discuss their performance, and give guidance on how to improve.

What type of safety training is required?

All Technicians are required to complete the Manufacture's Orientation level training.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our shop is divided into technician teams to allow younger technicians to work directly with our more experienced technicians. This 1 on 1 mentoring role allows younger technicians the ability to gain experience on a wide variety of diagnostic and repair work in an apprenticeship type role.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Corwin Automotive, as a whole, is extremely involved in every community that they do business in. There are several opportunities, throughout the year, for employees to represent Corwin within their local communities.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are extremely evolved with Ozark's Technical Community College donating time, supplies, and resources. We have several Technicians that are on campus instructors and regularly attend advisory meetings.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Generally, we do not phone screen applicants before the In-Person Interview.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In person interviews entail a detailed explanation of what is expected of the job, a chance for the potential employee to tell us about themselves and why they feel they are best for the job, and a tour of the facility in which they are applying to work.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

All potential employees must pass a criminal, and driving Background Check, as well as a Drug Screening.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

No, we do not perform a skill assessment before hiring.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

If not hires on the spot, we will make hiring decisions within 3-5 days after the interview.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

The full hiring process can take up to a week.

Service Advisor Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $125,000.00/year

Part & Labor Sales. with multiple bonus opportunities.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $32.00 - $40.00/hour

Flat Rate, based on experience, certifications and skill set

B Level Technician Pay Range: $26.00 - $31.00/hour

Flat Rate, based on experience, certifications and skill set

C Level Technician Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00/hour

Flat Rate, based on experience, certifications and skill set

Student Tech / Apprentice Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Hourly paid position

Lube Technician Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour
