The shop has 2 teams 6-7 per team. Express has 7 technician

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Service shop is open from 7:00am-7:00pm Monday-Friday. 8:00am-5:00pm Saturdays. Rotating shifts Mon-Fri. 7am-4pm, 8am-5am Saturday 8am-5pm

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have updated Toughbook laptops. Also computer terminals for all technicians. Specialized tools from manufacture are available.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Breakroom has multiple sitting areas, microwave and refrigerator. Computer station.

How many bays does your shop have?

21 technician bays. Hunter alignment machine, separate bay.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

1400 Customer pay and Warranty RO's

What is your parts ordering process?

Parts are ordered by dedicated parts personnel. We order from manufacture and local pickups from other parts suppliers.

What is your policy on side work?

No side work in shop. Technicians are allowed to work on their own vehicles. With approval.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

The shop promotes manufacture training and has multiple Master Technicians.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Training is available for all skill levels. We promote online and classroom manufacture training.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Our shop is a Great example of growth within. Currently have multiple express techs that are now line techs and Team lead. Some techs have developed into Parts & Service customer experience rolls.

Reviews are based off performance, testing and overall shop development.

What type of safety training is required?

Online and instore training

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Team lead technicians work with their team and always available for assistance. This is encourage for internal development.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Our company offers volunteer time off for employees.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We work with local J-Tech program. Currently employee graduated and enrolled students.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Each year we plan to increase car volume. In Sales and Service for overall dealership growth.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

Coggin Automotive in Jacksonville collaborates within its stores to promote training of all levels. With Master techs training express techs and mentoring others to develop their skills to grow.

In-person interviews will include interview with Managers. Walk through shop, meet team members and view the facilities.

No. We may ask for Certifications.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $50,000 - $85,000/year

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $75,000/year

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $65,000/year

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $20,000 - $40,000/year

PTO offered.
