How many bays does your shop have?

Every technician has their own work station while in the shop.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

Varies.

What is your parts ordering process?

All parts are ordered by the back office team.

What is your policy on side work?

No issue with side work as long as it doesn't interfere with this position.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Travel required, OT and some weekend work required during busy shutdown season.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer complete skills training for the position, which for an apprentice level could take up to (18) months. Our parent company, Applied Industrial Technologies, has a complete continuing education program.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We conduct an Annual Performance Review starting at the beginning of each fiscal year (July 1), with Merit increases effective 1/1.

What type of safety training is required?

Not only do we deal with heavy equipment/machinery in our shop, our technicians work at customer facilities requiring multiple layers/levels of Safety Training. Most training is on-line, managed and tracked by our Corporate Safety Manager.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

All younger techs work with an assigned mentor.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Various charity programs.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Yes, we continuously work on building relationships with local tech schools for recruiting purposes.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Outfitted with the most advanced equipment and the best trained technicians in the industry, with double digit growth year in, and year out.

Yes, we would conduct a phone screen to determine if we are the right fit for you, as well if you are the right fit for our position.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

You would come onsite to our location to interview and take a tour of our facility.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Yes, your employment is contingent upon providing a negative drug test and acceptable background check.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Only for certain positions would we require a skill assessment.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

You would hear back from us no longer than a week after your interview.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Our goal is to make the application to hiring process as quick as possible! From applying to our position, getting you in to interview and making a hiring decision would be about two - three weeks.

Valve Technician Pay Range: $45,000 - $75,000/year

Hourly Position, plus OT!

Actuation Technician Pay Range: $45,000 - $75,000/year

Health Insurance Offered: Health Insurance options of Medical, Dental, Vision, and Flexible Spending Accounts coverage. Eligibility begins on the first day of the month following thirty (30) days of employment.
Dental Insurance Offered: We have dental coverage through Cigna and you have the option to choose between two different plans or decline coverage.
Vision Insurance Offered: We have vision through two different providers, VSP or UHC and you have the option to select or decline coverage.
Retirement Plan Offered: Retirement Savings Plan - 401(k) Feature, providing for up to 50% compensation deferral and a Company match with respect to the first 6% of compensation deferred. The Company will provide matching contributions at 50% on the first 6% of your contribution. The Company contributions will be fully vested after four years, vesting at the rate of 25% for each year of continuous employment. Employee contributions are always 100% vested.
Sick Leave Offered: Included in PTO plan below.
Vacation Offered: PTO will be prorated based on your start date. At the beginning of the following year you would be eligible for 104 hours of PTO (13 day). You will accrue additional PTO based on your years of service and start date.
Paid Holidays Offered: FCX provides 9 company paid holidays for full time associates.
ST / LT Disability Offered: Short-Term Disability & Long-Term Disability are 100% paid for by the company at no cost to the employee!
Life Insurance Offered: Basic Life Insurance is 100% paid for by the company at no cost to the employee! Company paid life and AD&D insurance at one and a half times your base salary up to a maximum of $100,000. Additional associate paid voluntary life and AD&D insurance is available for you and your family. Eligibility begins on the first day of the month following thirty (30) days of employment.
