All parts are ordered by the back office team.

What is your policy on side work?

No issue with side work as long as it doesn't interfere with this position.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Travel required, OT and some weekend work required during busy shutdown season.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer complete skills training for the position, which for an apprentice level could take up to (18) months. Our parent company, Applied Industrial Technologies, has a complete continuing education program.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We conduct an Annual Performance Review starting at the beginning of each fiscal year (July 1), with Merit increases effective 1/1.

What type of safety training is required?

Not only do we deal with heavy equipment/machinery in our shop, our technicians work at customer facilities requiring multiple layers/levels of Safety Training. Most training is on-line, managed and tracked by our Corporate Safety Manager.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

All younger techs work with an assigned mentor.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Yes, we continuously work on building relationships with local tech schools for recruiting purposes.

You would come onsite to our location to interview and take a tour of our facility.

Valve Technician Pay Range: $45,000 - $75,000/year
