Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Heated.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

12 Technicians, 3 service advisors, 1 service lane manager, 1 assistant advisor, 1 lot attendant, and 1 service director, totaling 19.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30PM, Saturday 8:00AM - 2:30PM. Rotating Saturday schedule.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

GM Service Tools as required.

What type of break room facility is provided?

There is a break room for lunch or breaks.

How many bays does your shop have?

24. One of which is an alignment rack - Hunter Hawk Eye - and one is a 4-post. All others are 2-post.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

700 - 900

What is your parts ordering process?

Electronic multi-point system will send requests directly to the parts department and advisors.

What is your policy on side work?

That is your business as long as it doesn't involve any Chapman customer. The shop CANNOT be used for these purposes.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We are in a unique location with a large amount of fleet customer and state inspection work. There is some warranty work but it only makes up about 25% of our business.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer ongoing paid factory training, many of which are web based and virtual.

Factory "Fundamental" safety training is ongoing and required quarterly.

There are a few technicians with many years experience and will assist when needed but any tech will help another.

We welcome graduates to apply and start their new careers with us.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Growing in all directions but most notably with additional fleet work and an express lube.

Yes, it is available on our website and takes about 15 minutes.

A 2 way interaction to give us a chance to acquaint with one another.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $75,000 - $150,000/year

Flat Rate with Bonus

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $100,000/year

Flat Rate with Bonus

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $45,000 - $75,000/year

Flat Rate with Bonus as well as Hourly plans

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $25,000 - $45,000/year

Hourly/productive with Bonus

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $125,000/year

Service Manager
Service Managers are responsible for management and overall health of the shop. Service Managers are typically focused on running an efficient shop that meets their financial goals. Other responsibilities can include staffing, performance evaluations, and financial analysis amongst many other responsibilities.
Pay Range: $90,000 - $175,000/year

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $25,000 - $38,000/hour

Hourly +

Collision Technician - A Level Pay Range: $65,000 - $150,000/year

FR with Bonus

Collision Technician - B Level Pay Range: $45,000 - $85,000/year

RF with Bonus

Collision Painter Pay Range: $75,000 - $175,000/year

Collision Prepper Pay Range: $30,000 - $45,000/year
