Shop hours: 7am - 6pm Monday - Friday and Saturday 8am - 4pm Shifts: 8am - 5pm Monday- Friday and Saturday vary depending on position (rotating)
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
GM special tools only

Large area, 2 fridges, microwaves, coffee makers, deck, picnic table, large tv with cable.

Yes! We have many training programs through GM, on-site trainers, and virtual training programs.

Annual reviews with direct manager, reviewed by People and Culture Department
What type of safety training is required?
Hazmat, Workers Comp policies, and Weather related safety training.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We have a formalized apprenticeship program, a tech would be matched with a master technician.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Volunteering at Tech Schools and other community events
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Yes! There are a lot of events we go to and also host here at the dealership for local schools.

Yes, it's about a 15 minute phone screen.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Interview done with the hiring manager. We discuss our employees, culture, the candidates background, experience, and finish with a shop tour
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Yes, we conduct a full background check (including MVR) and a hair follicle drug screen. Both are administered at the dealership for ease.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No skill assessment will be asked however, a copy of transcripts from Tech school may be requested.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
24 - 48 hours
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
This depends on how fast the candidate can get in for the interview. We strive to not exceed 4 days.
A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $45 - $46/hour
$45/flat rate hour, pay based on experience and certifications
B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $37 - $38/hour
$37/flat rate hour, pay based on experience and certifications
C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $24 - $25/hour
$24/flat rate hour, pay based on experience and certifications
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $18 - $20/hour
$18-$20 depending on skill level and experience, pay based on experience and certifications
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $48,000 - $72,000/year
This position has a commission structure component to the pay structure, pay range can be higher due to performance
