Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Yes, the shop is climate controlled—Heated and A/C with 2 large fans.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We run 2 groups of Techs (lateral support groups) each group has 6 Techs and one of the Techs is the dispatcher/Group lead.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

The shop hours are 7am-6pm. We have 2 shifts which are 7am-5pm or 8am-6pm and they are by choice as to what you'd like to work.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We provide all mandatory JLR factory tools, newly remodeled and organized tool room w/computer inventory of tools. Each Tech has their own PC, Laptop and VCM to communicate with vehicles through JLR approved diagnostics and each Tech has their own battery tender.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Multiple seats and tables, kitchenette, sink, dishwasher, coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave, also a large screen TV on wall for entertainment or meetings. We provide lockers for the Techs as well.

How many bays does your shop have?

We have 21 service bays including the alignment rack

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We average around 550 repair orders monthly

What is your parts ordering process?

We order our parts through our dealership management system (DMS), which is currently CDK.

What is your policy on side work?

Outside employment or side work is secondary to your employment at Bob Moore and may not interfere with your job in any way.

We require and provide annual safety training to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Our senior level technicians mentor and train newly graduated or apprentice technicians to better understand the industry, improve their strengths and sharpen their skills..

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We have supported numerous local charities, nonprofits, and civic outreach organizations in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa area.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Yes, we partner with community and technical colleges to identify students interested in a career path in the auto industry.

We have an electronic application process that takes less than 10 minute to complete.

You will meet with a hiring manager to provide details on your work experience, education and career goals in order to determine if this would be a good fit for both you and the company.

Yes, we perform a background check, drug screening and a motor vehicle records check.

Usually, within the same week as the interview..

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

This process can take up to 7 days, but typically its 3 days from start to finish.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

Once hired, new team members will complete a two-day onboarding process and orientation to learn about the organization and its structure, culture, vision, mission and values.

Service Technician Pay Range: $45,760 - $81,120/year ($22.00 - $39.00/hr)

The pay rates are Flag Rates and depends on JLR certification

Service Technician Trainee Pay Range: $35,360 - $41,600/year ($17.00 - $20.00/hr)

The pay rates are with vocational or OJT training
