Blue Springs Ford service provides an air condition / heated shop in service as well as our collision center.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Blue Springs Ford at full staff has approximately 20 full time technicians and 38 working bays. We have 8 service advisors and a huge parts department to help you be successful. Our collision center at full staff has 6 technicians, 2 painters, and 3 estimators.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Our shop is open 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday / shifts vary. Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. / shifts vary on Saturday's as well.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Blue Springs Ford offers the best of the best communal manufacturer special tools, 4 alignment machines, 2 tire machines and balancers, and much more.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We provide a lunch breakroom with television, refrigerator, microwave, sink, and full tables w/ chairs.
How many bays does your shop have?
Blue Springs Ford has 38 working bays along with 4 state of the art alignment machines.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Blue Springs Ford averages roughly 2,000-2,500 repair orders per month.
What is your parts ordering process?
Blue Springs Ford uses a system called Work Flow, very easy to use for the advisor. technician, and parts. We have Kansas Cities largest parts inventory.
What is your policy on side work?
Technicians can work on their on family members vehicles with an open repair order and authorization from management.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We pride ourselves on tenured employees, the average technicians have been here well over 15 years. Our people drive the future.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Blue Springs Ford offers continual training programs. Great opportunity for B and C technicians to move up and get the training they need to be successful. We pride ourselves for building from the ground up.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Blue Springs Ford prides itself on career growth. We are known for offering advanced job opportunities to our current employees. Many of us started here a porters, parts drivers, and in other various position. Our tenure is exceptional.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Blue Springs Ford management gives performance reviews quarterly. Sometimes monthly depending on the circumstances. We have open door policies for employees to offer feedback.
What type of safety training is required?
Blue Springs Ford has safety training monthly and follows M.A.D.A. guidelines. We also hired an outside firm G.M.G. environmental to help us cover all safety related issues.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Blue Springs Ford offers a technician mentorship program, we take our younger technicians and have them spend some days with our A technicians to help them learn new job duties.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Blue Springs Ford is very involved in the community. We provide services to shelters, contribute to local events, and we set up a non-profit "Helping Others Project" in which our dealership will be donating $1,000.00 per month to a charity for the next 25 years.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Blue Springs Ford is associated with multiple community colleges and offer in house training for these students,

A recruiter / manager will do the initial phone screen, discussions will include work history, candidates desired position, likes / dislikes of current job, and goals.

Basic background, previous job experience, reasons for applying and talent level, goals, and background questions.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Blue Springs Ford will do a background check, drug screen, and possible personality test prior to hiring.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
We do not preform a skills assessment.

Blue Springs Ford will contact you usually within 7 working days regarding your potential employment.

B Level Technician
Pay Range: $30,000.00 - $90,000.00/year
($14.42 - $43.27/hr)
Our Technicians are paid on flat rate hours and will be paid retro to the 1st hour based on total hours booked.
C Level Technician
Pay Range: $25,000.00 - $50,000.00/year
($12.02 - $24.04/hr)
Our Technicians are paid on flat rate hours and will be paid retro to the 1st hour based on total hours booked.
Collision Technician - A Level
Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $175,000.00/year
($28.85 - $84.13/hr)
Our Technicians are paid on flat rate hours and will be paid retro to the 1st hour based on total hours booked per week.
A Level Technician
Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00/year
($24.04 - $72.12/hr)
Flag hour pay plan. Our Technicians are paid on flat rate hours and will be paid retro to the 1st hour based on total hours booked.
Lube Technician
Pay Range: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00/year
($14.42 - $19.23/hr)
$15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Our Technicians are paid on flat rate hours and will be paid retro to the 1st hour based on total hours booked. Initial technicians will be paid hourly and adjusted accordingly.
Collision Technician - B Level
Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $75,000.00/year
($16.83 - $36.06/hr)
Our Technicians are paid on flat rate hours and will be paid retro to the 1st hour based on total hours booked. Starting B technicians may be paid hourly and adjsuted accordingly.
