We are a 4 mechanic shop with 2 service writers, we need 2 more.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm with overtime when needed

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have all the big equipment most shops should have and we have lots of specialty tools.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We do not have a break room. Work in progress to have one.

How many bays does your shop have?

My shop is a 5 bay shop with one alignment bay

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We are 100+

What is your parts ordering process?

All parts are ordered by our Service Writers

What is your policy on side work?

We do not allow side work for your profit. But after 90 days you may use the shop to fix your car

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We are a true auto repair shop. We are fully loaded with the stuff to do all types of work.

We have training with NAPA, CARQUEST, SHOP FIX, ASE

We have a training process set up; so that after you pass you will go to the next level and also have a pay increase.

What type of safety training is required?

Typical yearly training for various items, that the company will pay for.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We run our shop as a team we all come form different back grounds and we all have different level of skills. Mentorship of Master Techs for C and B Techs are ongoing.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Bill is a volunteer with the police and is out in the community all the time. We are also a proudly supporting our Veterans, by Hiring Veterans First.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We have had 2 student come to the shop and work for about a week to learn what is it like to be a mechanic

In 5 years we should double our numbers

We do ask for your weaknesses and your strengths

We sometimes come with that answer on the spot but most of the time in a day

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $40,000 - $120,000/year ($19.23 - $57.69/hr)

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $80,000/year ($19.23 - $38.46/hr)

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $20,000 - $50,000/year ($9.62 - $24.04/hr)

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
