Our shop is heated and we have AC in the Bay for you

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We are a 4 mechanic shop with 2 service writers, I have Jon as my manager and my mother who is my book keeper, I myself the owner William Davenport

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm with overtime when needed

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have all the big equipment most shop should have and we have lots of specifies tool for job need done that cost big dollars

What type of break room facility is provided?

We do not have a break room. We have our meeting in the bays

How many bays does your shop have?

My shop is a 5 bay shop with one alignment bay

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We are anywhere from 80 to over a 100

What is your parts ordering process?

As you know today parts is hard to find some time. We do what ever we have to do to get the parts and get the job done

What is your policy on side work?

We do not allow side work for your profit But after 90 days you may use the shop to fix your car

We are a true auto repair shop. We are fully loaded with the stuff to do all type of work. Ac shop is the best future for us

We have training with NAPA, CARQUEST as of now

Bill is a a master tech for over 40 years and can show you many thing to learn if you are open

We set goals base line to meet every week, We have training process to learn after you pass you will go to the next level

What type of safety training is required?

All thing have safety guideline to fallow some are just come séance

We run our shop as a team we all come form different back ground and we all have different level of skills

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Bill is a volunteer with the police and is out in the community all the time

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We have had 2 student come to the shop and work for about a week to learn what is it like to be a mechanic

Where do you see the shop in five years?

In 5 years we should double our number and by then my shop should have 3 bay built and add on to the building for more room and be ready for the new generation cars coming

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We do like you to fill the application out, this give us a little more info on you. You should have it completed in 30mins. If you have ASE and any other certification we ask you make copy for us.

We sometimes come with that answer on the spot but most of the time in a day

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $40,000 - $120,000/year

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $80,000/year

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $20,000 - $50,000/year

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Pay Range: $30,000 - $90,000/year

Service Manager

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $20,000 - $30,000/hour
