Scanners, computers, torque wrenches, ac machine, charging system machine, and various other special tools.

Kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot

What is your parts ordering process?
Service Advisor orders parts for techs through our ShopWare system.
What is your policy on side work?
We prefer our technicians work through our shop.

We offer training through the Institute for Automotive Business Excellence
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
There is a possibility that a technician can evolve into a service advisor. Since we are a small, independent shop, there is not much growth opportunity as there would be at a dealership.
Can you describe your performance review process?
After 90 days of employment, we meet with the technician to discuss their positive and negative attributes
What type of safety training is required?

How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We are members of the Dallas Porsche Club and get involved in monthly activities.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Not at this time, but our goal is to be able to hire apprentices in the near future.
Where do you see the shop in five years?
We hope to have 5 to 6 technicians and 2 service advisors.
Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?
We do not have a standard application. We prefer to see the applicant's resume with detailed descriptions of the former place of employment and job description at each company, along with length of service at each company.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
What do your in-person interviews entail?
A 30 minute meeting to basically get to know the candidate. It is informal and casual.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
Skill assessments are helpful but not required.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Within one week

We are focused on the employees previous experience and tenure at past jobs. We would like to hire someone with a stable background.
A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $38 - $42/hour
All techs are paid on flag rate hours.
B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $36 - $37/hour
