What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We currently have 18 technicians and a shop foreman

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

7-6 Monday thru Friday Shop Hours 8-5 Saturday Shop Hours Early shift 7:00-3:30 Middle Shift 7:30-4:00 Late Shift 9:00-5:30 You work every third Saturday with a day off during the week on your Saturday schedule.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We supply all manufacture required tools. We also provide a built in tool box for each technician. $800.00 annual tool allowance reimbursement.

What type of break room facility is provided?

One breakroom is a kitchen with a refrigerator, Microwave and vending machines.

How many bays does your shop have?

19 Bays and one Hunter alignment rack.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

900-1,000

What is your parts ordering process?

Overnight on warranty parts and 3-5 days on normal orders.

What is your policy on side work?

You can work on your personal vehicle and family members after your shift is over with prior management approval.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Quarterly after hour work outings with your coworkers.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Manufacture training, In house training with journeyman technicians, Asbury online training.

We have training opportunities for all positions. Asbury owns over 160 dealerships with internal open job openings all over the united states.

Your immediate manager reviews you at 6 months and 12 months

What type of safety training is required?

Lift training, air conditioning certification, hazardous material training,

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our journeyman technicians work with the younger technicians and they have to spend at least three months working with different technicians throughout the shop. The journeyman technicians take pride in training the younger technicians.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Asbury gives every employee 40 hours a year paid volunteer time.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We attend local technical school job fairs. We hire students from Ranken technical school for internships.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Audi is going more towards all EV vehicles so the shop will be filled with more high tech vehicles and the repairs we do today will be a lot different in five years.

Meet with the immediate manager and after the interview the applicant meets the general manager. The applicant also gets a tour of the facility.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00/year

We have a bonus program for flat rate hours flagged. 41-49 Hours a additional $2.00 per hour 50-56 Hours a additional $4.00 per hour 57 and up a additional $6.00 per hour

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00/year

We have a bonus program for flat rate hours flagged. 41-49 Hours a additional $2.00 per hour 50-56 Hours a additional $4.00 per hour 57 and up a additional $6.00 per hour

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $70,000.00/year

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00/year

Additional bonus for great CSI

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour

Work part time with a journeyman technician while attending trade school. Hourly position while in school and during your first year after graduation.
