Diesel Engine Service Specialist
Engine Power, Inc. has a Diesel Engine Service Specialist* position available that reports to the Manager-Product Support.
The ideal candidate is interested in hands-on work and is an active listener and a great communicator, whether in person or on the phone. This person is motivated by continuous learning and enthusiastic about sharing this knowledge through training others. The right applicant can work independently or on a team and excels in understanding complex documents, drawings, and regulations. He or she effectively manages the long and short requirements of projects and is proficient with computers and related components and tools.

The Diesel Engine Service Specialist's responsibilities include the timely completion of assigned projects from all sales regions and all customer types. Some expectations include:
- Perform hands-on engine repairs in EPI shop or on customer site as required
- Technical and part inquiries via phone and/or email
- Entry of Service Work Orders (SWO), Customer Parts Orders and RMA requests
- Assigned Customer Service Tickets
- Manage assigned service tickets to ensure that a prompt and effective solution has been determined and completed
- Prioritize all Service Tickets from Unit Down to Warranty request and Dealer Referrals
- Assigned Retail technical service requirements (Service Work Orders)
- Warranty service/claims processing requirements
- Manage assigned Improvement Opportunity Projects to ensure that prompt and effective corrective actions have been taken
- Conduct product training sessions for customers to include presentation and hands on instruction segments
- Participate in Quality/Continuous Improvement efforts as needed
- Assist with Application / Warranty review testing as needed
- Assist to design/engineer Engine Power products (i.e. EP or EW parts) to resolve chronic field issues as needed, as well as documentation
- Assist Dyno testing as part the Service and Application Process (if needed)
- Assist application review process for assigned projects (if needed)
Education & Training
- High school diploma or equivalent GED from an accredited educational institution.
Work Experience Requirements
- 5 years technical service experience preferred
- 3 years internal combustion engine repair experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with computer-based technology such as Microsoft Office products
Travel Requirements
- Travel is required as needed
