Automotive Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Conferring with shop foreman and service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work needed to be performed and future repair requirements.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
- Performing quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
- Test-driving vehicles, and testing components and systems
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Automotive Service Technician Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
- Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Valid driver's license required
