Automotive Service Technician

Job Summary

Valley Nissan/Mitsubishi is looking for an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles on a daily basis. This position is a full-time hourly technician role and requires both an attention to detail and a passion for ensuring customer satisfaction. The technician will work with the service department to ensure that each customer’s vehicle is running the best it can.

Compensation & Benefits

Valley Nissan offers a competitive hourly rate of $22-$35 per hour depending on experience, paid semimonthly. In addition, Valley Nissan/Mitsubishi offers comprehensive benefits packages that include, medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and other benefits. We offer paid OEM training and ASE certification reimbursement once ASE test are passed. 

Responsibilities


• Complete multi point vehicle inspections utilizing table with pictures and videos
• Diagnose and identify vehicles’ problems while checking for proper functioning of various components
• Make necessary repairs and adjustments to vehicles in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the shop and workspace
• Keep up-to-date with new and existing technologies and customer service standards
• Properly complete records of work performed and materials used
• Maintain customer satisfaction when repairing and servicing vehicles
• Communicate with Service Advisors/Service Manager regarding necessary repairs


Requirements

• Three years of experience repairing vehicles
• A valid driver's license 
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles without supervision
• Expertise in computers and computer-related technologies
• Ability to detect potential hazards or safety concerns
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, use initiative, and prioritize work
