Shop Talk

We have received our new D3 Edge box! Volkswagen is sending these to all dealers to act as an on-site server for software updates and control module software configuration. By having this data on location it will save a large amount of time when performing software related procedures since we will no longer have to download the files from the server in Germany anymore!

With the addition of a Hunter Quick Check machine we get instantaneous alignment and tire tread check results link to the customers inspection form. This allows us to seamlessly show customers their tread depth and alignment angles while doing the walk around check in allowing us double alignment sales in the first month!
Top Shop Challenge: What are a couple of things you'd like to highlight that happened last month?
We upgraded our Hunter Alignment check equipment and now we can simply drive through the equipment for the check instead of mounting heads to each wheel and manually rolling the car forward. Not only does this save time, it also allows a direct connection to our inspection software so there is no longer a print you and the Service Advisors and Technicians can immediately see it.
