35 team members

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

7:00am-6:00pm Monday thru Friday 7:00am-2:00pm Saturday Variety of shifts based on during these hours.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

All standard GM tools, tire equipment, alignment equipment.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Clean technician break room with full size refrigerator, microwave, TV, and vending.

What is your parts ordering process?

Most techs use advanced service to order parts, parts are received as soon as possible

What is your policy on side work?

Cannot compete with the company.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Have a shop foreman who is a GM World Class technician to assist as needed.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer GM training courses. We pay expenses and flat rate hours for the training. We also encourage and pay for ASE courses.

Performance reviews are completed on an ongoing basis as employees progress. We do not complete scheduled reviews.

What type of safety training is required?

We have an outside company that oversees our safety training. They complete onsite training twice a year and online training is ongoing throughout the year.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Apprentice technicians work with our World-class and master technicians. They begin with one-on-one training and transition into working on their flat rate jobs.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Ed Martin is very involved in youth organizations, High School career centers, and Trade schools. We participate in Job Fairs, Skills USA competitions and programs for younger students to get them interested and involved in the automotive industry.

Our service department is growing rapidly. We are in a growing community and have a vibrant outreach program. We continue to set record growth month after month. We are expanding our shop and are always looking for talented employees.

Everyone at Ed Martin, from the Owners to the employees are focused on helping each other succeed and on reaching out to our community.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We utilize a written application. It normally takes an applicant about 15 minutes to fill out.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

We often do phone interviews prior to in-person interviews. However we will do in-person interviews if an applicant stops in the dealership and requests to interview.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We discuss the applicants skill level, work history, available hours of work and future career goals. We allow the applicant to ask questions and then offer them a tour of the facility.

We do a background check on drivers license.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00/year

Tech bonus per hour after 45hrs, 55hrs, 65hrs and 75hrs.

B Level Technician Pay Range: $30,000.00 - $65,000.00/year

Tech bonus per hour after 45hrs, 55hrs, 65hrs and 75hrs.

Service Advisor Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $110,000.00/year

Commission-based sales off of total sales, customer satisfaction bonus, incentive programs for product contests.

Lube Technician Pay Range: $20,000.00 - $50,000.00/year

Bonus structure for overall hours turned as a team.

Student Tech / Apprentice Pay Range: $15.00 - $16.00/hour
