Shop Talk
Top Shop Challenge: Ask your technicians what’s the first thing that comes to mind about why working at your shop is better than the competition, and share their answers.
Technicians say we are the best shop to work for due to excellent support from staff, management, owners and the Toyota brand! We all work together to maintain the strongest team possible, supporting one another through the good times and the not so good.
Top Shop Challenge: What is one thing you wish the general public would better understand about working as a technician?
The stigma of a “mechanic” or “grease monkey” does not apply to today’s automotive technician. Modern technicians are highly skilled professionals trained to the highest standards to work on highly technical vehicles. With the advancement of modern technology in today’s automobiles, the skill level required by our technicians to maintain and repair them has also advanced. Technicians are the most valuable tools in any service department, including Town Toyota!
Top Shop Challenge: What are a couple of things you'd like to highlight that happened last month?
We want to congratulate Ruayen Javier, our first apprentice to graduate our in-house training program! Ruayen started his journey with us July 2021 as a TXM basic tech, with no prior experience. After seeing great potential is Ruayen, he was advanced from TXM to our apprentice program within six months of being hired. He was able to graduate earlier than anticipated and has become a Line Tech in less than two years! CONGRATULATIONS Ruayen, your hard work shows!!
