Town Auto Group is located in the heart of Washington State, we enjoy vast mountain ranges, lakes, rivers and wonderful weather of the high desert. We are the proud home of orchards, farms, and thriving small communities. We are honored to offer on and off site offsite Nissan Motor Corp training. We offer mentorship programs as well.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

7:30-4:30pm M-F

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

All Nissan required tools on hand along with brake machine, strut compressing machine, tire machine and balancer, machine press, engine hoist, transmission jacks, Mitchell Pro Demand, emission scan tools, Air Conditioning machine, transmission and coolant flush machines, etc.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Open break room: fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven. Changing Room: individual private assigned lockers

How many bays does your shop have?

7 total bays ( 2 lube bays, 1 alignment rack, 4 main lifts)

How many repair orders do you average per month?

650+

What is your parts ordering process?

Most commonly used parts in stock, next day orders from assigned depot and expedited special handle process

What is your policy on side work?

Only allowed on personal vehicles on the employees day off.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We are a small and mighty TEAM!

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Yes, we offer paid on and offsite brand training along with encouraging option for technician growth and advancement.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We offer in house mentorship. Progress your career while being compensated through Nissan Motor Corp training.

Can you describe your performance review process?

30/60/90 day reviews upon hiring. Our shop operates on open dialog and feedback, with an annual review.

What type of safety training is required?

Pre-employment work place training is required. Shop safety and expectations are established through onboarding on day one. Additional on the job safety training is required per position. Compliance procedures and safety committee ensure all safety measures are being followed throughout each dealership operated by Town Auto Group.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our Master Level techs are available at all times to help answer questions and provide assistance as needed.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We sponsor local schools, veterans, participate in food drives, and sponsor local sports teams

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Yes, we are involved with the Automotive programs through the Wenatchee valley college and Tech centers.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

All we see is growth in our future!

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Our quick website application takes a few minutes. Our full application is completed online can take up to ten minutes with completing education and work history.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In person interviews are an interactive conversation designed to ensure that Town Auto Group is the right fit for both the technician and our shop.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Background checks and driver's insurability are checked in the pre-screening process. Applicants are do a drug screening as part of onboarding.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

No, our interview process and reference checks are designed to assess technicians skills.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

2-4 days

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

We average 5 days with the prescreen call back causing the most time hang up.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

Town Auto Group's hiring process is an interactive process for helping potential employees get a feel for TAG. We work hard to make it as informative and seamless as possible recognizing how valuable a commodity time truly is.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $70,000 - $120,000/year

Flat-rate + Weekly Upsell Spiff Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Technicians

B Level Technician Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000/year

Flat rate + Weekly spiff incentive

C Level Technician Pay Range: $40,000 - $60,000/year

Flat rate + Weekly spiff incentive

Lube Technician Pay Range: $25,000 - $35,000/year

Hourly Pay Weekly Upsell Spiff

Service Advisor Pay Range: $40,000 - $90,000/year

Commission based

Student Tech / Apprentice Pay Range: $17 - $18/hour

Hourly rate + Weekly spiff incentive

March is full of exciting things !

This month we have had out buy 3 get one for a $1 tire sale. which had us asking are you making sure that when you are selling a customer tires that you are selling them the correct tires for their lifestyle? We are talking highway, all terrain, and mountain terrain and yes even snow tires and knowing what the difference is? There is nothing wrong with asking the customer the necessary questions to make sure they are getting the right tires for the right job. At all times we as a dealership and as a service department are striving to provide the best customer service experience possible this is just one way we can save the customer time and potentially alot of money.

Top Shop Challenge: What are a couple of things you'd like to highlight that happened last month?

January came and went! Slower months are never fun for anyone! we Kept busy though. We are defiantly looking forward to warmer weather for sure. as of February 1st, we decided to put out a Town Nissan newsletter which allows our employees to be informed of service anniversaries and upcoming events to look forward to. what a fun and exciting way to stay connected!

Kerri has been in the industry for over 20 years and with Town Nissan for 4 years. Kerri is a Nissan Senior Specialist Technician in Engine and Engine performance. he is well on his way to becoming a Master Technician. He will be fly back east to get his diesel certification in March.

What are a couple of things you'd like to highlight that happened last month?

December recap!!! Happy New Year all! Nissan released the all new all electric Ariya! with the release comes new equipment and additional training for our techs. We have been preparing for this for a while. our demo is just beautiful!!!
