What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have a team of 15 express techs and growing.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Multiple shifts availible shop hour are from 7am to 7pm.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Dealership can provide tools and or box if you have your own.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Large locker room and break room dedicated to technicians.

How many bays does your shop have?

We have an 18 bay shop dedicated to express services.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We have 90 to 150 customers daily.

What is your parts ordering process?

We have an expedited parts ordering process in order to keep the work flow.

What is your policy on side work?

Allowed to work on pesonal and family vehicles with management approval.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

The express facility is new, clean and equipped with oil reels and tool boxed for every bay.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer in house training along with personal training with an in house training specialist.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

With our in house training a tech can advance his/her career all the way to Master tech.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Yearly reviews are performed and goal setting, both for personal and profesional goals.

What type of safety training is required?

Industy safety training policies are taught and maintaned.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Express techs work regularly scheduled shifts with Master technicians in order to advance experience with the newest technologies.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

The dealership participates with multiple charitable orgizations.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are in regular communication with the local Toyota training center in order to advance our technicians careers.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We plan on having multiple technicians advance to fill positons of Master and expert technician within the next 5 years.

We pride ourselves on training of technicians to be the best in the industry.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Applications are reviewed daily. And responses usually happens with a couple days.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Phone screening of applicants are common before in person interview appointments are made.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In person interviews include questions regarding mechanical experience and personal goals while employed with us. Experience is not required for the position.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do perform drug tests before offering employment to applicants.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

We do not do a skill assessment before hiring.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

After an in person interview an applicant can start working within a few days once the drug test results have been reviewed.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

A person can start as quickly as 3 days after the in person interview has taken place.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

Our interview process is fairly casual wit the hope to make all applicants feel welcome.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $75,000 - $120,000/year

Flat Rate position. Toyota & ASE Certification driven hourly rates.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000/year

Flat Rate position. Toyota & ASE Certification driven hourly rates.

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $30,000 - $50,000/year

Straight Hourly or Flat Rate position, depending on certification level. Toyota & ASE Certification driven hourly rates.

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $30,000 - $35,000/year ($14.42 - $16.83/hr)

Straight Hourly position plus bonus opportunities. Toyota & ASE Certification driven hourly rates.
