What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We have about 19 team members in our Service department, 10 of whom are technicians.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Shop hours are M-F, 7:30am-5:30pm. Saturdays 9am-4pm. Shifts on weekdays are 7:30am-4:30pm and 8:30am-5:30pm
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All technicians supply their own toolboxes and tools, however, we provide a large supply of specialty tools including brand-certified scan tools, battery maintainers, and a work bench. Technicians are provided with a scan tool (laptop), battery maintainer, and scan tool kit individually but there is a large supply of manufacturer specific special tools for the VW, Audi, and Porsche brands.We have a mount and balance machine as well as alignment rack. Multiple charging stations. 2 different hunter quick alignment checks in the service drive. Bulk oil guns between every 2 bays. The trucks that stop by for tool options is Matco and Snap on.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Break room is onsite upstairs with a locker room, restroom, sink, coffee machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, multiple tables, and a snack vending machine.
How many bays does your shop have?

How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average about 28 per day and between 650-700 per month.
What is your parts ordering process?
Parts ordering is done through the DMS system or with a parts department member. If it's an item not in stock, typically we can receive the part within 2-3 business days. Our freight arrives Monday through Saturday between 1pm and 3pm.
What is your policy on side work?
A technician can work on their own car after shift with service manager approval, but no side work can be done in shop. Any parts ordered through the parts department has an employee discount.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We offer ongoing training opportunities for technicians and will cover tuition for manufacturer training programs to help you attain additional certifications.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We help technicians become manufacturer certified and offer pay increases for each additional certification you complete. When possible, we look to promote from within for leadership roles like Lead Service Technicians, Shop Foreman, and Service Manager.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We meet monthly with technicians to review their goals, their current performance metrics, and create a plan to improve and sustain success in the next month.
What type of safety training is required?
We have online, required safety training for all new employees. During your first few days on the job, you will be given an orientation to the department and the shop for location-specific safety training.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We're a team environment so we expect our technicians to be able to work together. This allows for our more experienced technicians to collaborate with younger techs and broaden their skill and knowledge base.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We attend community events and regularly partner with local non-profits. We seek to be part of the broader Bellingham community whenever possible.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We partner with local high schools and tech schools to search for apprentice technicians looking to jumpstart their career.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, in most cases a hiring manager or recruiter will call you to briefly discuss your application and background over the phone.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Interviews typically last 20-30 minutes and cover a range of topics. Be prepared to discuss your past work experience, skills, and how you would approach or solve various challenges and tasks for the position. Our hiring managers also want to get to know you personally. Your character and fit into our hospitality-driven culture are just as important as any technical skills you bring to the table.

We typically get back to candidates within 2 weeks of their interview.

The full hiring process takes approximately 3-4 weeks from the time your application is submitted to the time an offer is made and accepted.
