Yes it is important that our employees are comfortable.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

ODaniel Auto group currently employees over 200 employees. ODaniel Auto Group is family owned and operated. We are a great place to work and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday - Friday from 7am to 5:30 pm.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have all special tools provided by the manufacturer which are catalogued and organized in the tool rooms. We also all the necessary equipment to do your job in an efficient manner including those for AC, Suspension, Alignment, Tires, Wheels, as well as a Hunter Alignment Machine. All tools and equipment are most up to date versions and each tech is provided his own computer laptop.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a large break room at every location with a large refrigerator, microwave and a TV with cable. In addition we offer a workout work for all of our employees.

How many bays does your shop have?

Depending on the location each shop is equipped with a minimum of 20 pays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

Well over 3000 between locations.

What is your parts ordering process?

Parts are ordered through the internal parts counter through one of our experienced Parts Counter Salesperson.

What is your policy on side work?

We allow technicians to work on their own personal cars outside of company hours.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Multiple Bays per technician. Dedicated Service Advisors. On Site Ownership. Management that cares. Organized and Catalogued Special Tools. Hunter Alignment Machine. Company supplied laptop for each technician Fun Family Atmosphere. Shop completely renovated with new epoxy floors and LED lighting. All lifts pass OSHA inspections and many are brand new.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Continued ASE and Factory Training (including off site training) are encouraged and paid for by ODaniel Auto Group.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We encourage all technicians to achieve Master Technician levels. Pay rates are increased with levels of training achieved.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Reviews are conducted on an ongoing basis by the Service Manager.

What type of safety training is required?

We are committed to a safe workplace. Yearly safety training is required. We also have a Safety Director that will help you ever step of the way.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We are proud of our team environment. Technicians are encouraged to seek guidance from any of our Master Technicians on a daily basis. We also offer an apprentice program where new technicians are paired with a Master Technician until training levels are completed.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

The ODaniel Organization is heavily involved in our community for over 40 years. We support over 50 local organization. Supporting our community is one of the foundations of our organization.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We provide internships for the right candidate in high school at the local career and technology school.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

With the continued growth of our group we expect to double our capacity in the next five years while continuing to provide excellent service for our customer base.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

With opportunities to start as lube tech or as an Apprentice, we offer many opportunities for advancement to a full line technician. Some of our best technicians started as a lube Technician.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We post employment ads on our website, our Facebook pages, wrenchway, Indeed. The application process takes 2 to 5 minutes.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, we like to schedule a 5 minute phone interview to review qualifications and discuss the opening.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We schedule interviews at the convenience of the applicant. We can stay after hours or Saturdays if necessary.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We perform background checks and drivers license check on all candidates to make certain candidate is insurable.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?


After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

1 to 3 days after the interview, we will make an offer.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Approximately 5-10 days.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $65,000 - $100,000/year

We offer the highest pay rates in the industry! Compensation is flat-rate and based on experience, skills, and certifications.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000/year

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $51,000 - $60,000/year

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $30,000 - $51,000/year

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $55,000 - $85,000/year ($26.44 - $40.87/hr)

Compensation is salary plus commission based on team performance and customer satisfaction ratings

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $12 - $15/hour


Health Insurance Offered
We offer Health Insurance through Unified with a $2,000 deductible for individuals and a $4,000 deductible for families. We offer a health savings plan that the company will put in $65 monthly into your HSA account to keep the cost to employees down. Employee cost is $33.75 per week for individual coverage and $157.75 per week for family coverage. Coverage start on the 1st of the month following 30 days from your start date.
Dental Insurance Offered
We offer dental insurance thru Sunlife at an additional cost. The cost of dental insurance for individual is $5.66 per week and $20.96 per week for family coverage.
Vision Insurance Offered
We also offer Vision insurance thru VSP at additional cost. The cost for individual is $1.80 per week or $5.77 per week for family coverage.
Retirement Plan Offered
You can enroll in the 401k program upon hire. We match up to 2% Eligible after 1 year of employment.

Vacation Offered
All full-time employees are eligible for vacation after completing one year of employment, the employee is eligible for 5 days of vacation to be used the following 12-month period. Upon completion of the employees 24th month of employment and through the completion of their 11th year of employment, the employee will be eligible for 10 days of vacation to be used the following 12-month period. Upon completion of the employees 12th year of employment, the employee will be eligible for 15 days of vacation to be used the following 12-month period.
