About Us

The Leith Automotive Group is a family owned and operated business that opened in 1969. We are part of a 30 plus dealer group located in and around the Raleigh area. But clearly, we are a little different! There are over 1,800 employees that call Leith home and with the average tenure being 15 years, obviously we have stability within our organization. Our slogan is “Leith - The Name You Can Trust." If you can live by that, you may have found a home.

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

All of our shops are Air Conditioned and Heated. Always a comfortable work environment.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Teams Range in size depending on level of expertise and quantity of technicians combined. Typically team size is 5 technicians with 1 team leader.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open from 7:30am until 6pm M-F and Saturday from 8am until 4pm. Our technicians are scheduled to be here at 8am until 5pm M-F and open to close on Saturday ( work pending )

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have a complete tool room of special tools that are neatly organized and easy to find. We are also in the process of setting up a separate area for special tools for all of the "i" Cars as well.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a full size refrigerator/freezer to store your food in, microwave, coffee pots, 4 8' tables with chairs to sit at. We also have outdoor seating around the property to utilize as well.

How many bays does your shop have?

We currently have 36 service bays with lifts plus 3 flat stalls along with 2 additional alignment racks.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We average 1503 repair orders during a month.

What is your parts ordering process?

We have a full staff of parts advisors in 2 shops that are in charge of our parts ordering.

What is your policy on side work?

Technicians are free to work on their own vehicles in the shop as long as it does not interfere or hinder getting our clients vehicles repaired.

Vision Insurance Offered: • Pretax benefit with coverage available for Employee Only, EE+1 and Full Family • Annual eye exam with a $10 copay • $200 annual allowance for eye wear (less a $10 copay) including prescription and non-prescription lenses, frames and contacts • Discounts on other vision treatments such as Lasik Eye Surgery • Eligibility at completion of 90 days
Retirement Plan Offered: • Traditional Pre Tax 401k plan with employer match • Coming soon…..Roth After Tax 401k with employer match • Annual Profit Sharing Allocation and Contribution funded by the employer • Web site access with detailed account information as well as a full array of financial educational materials • Eligibility the first week of the month following the completion of the first 90 days
Sick Leave Offered: • Up to 24 hours in year 1 • 32 hours in the 2nd full year of employment • 40 hours in the 3rd and subsequent years of employment • End of year payout of any unused hours and hours reset as stated above at January 1 of each year • Eligibility at completion of 90 days
Vacation Offered: • 1 week after 1 year of continuous employment • 2 weeks after 2 years of continuous employment • 3 weeks after 8 years of continuous employment
Paid Holidays Offered: • New Year’s Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Thanksgiving Day • Christmas Day • 1 Floating Holiday (any day of employee’s choosing) • Eligibility at completion of 90 days
ST / LT Disability Offered: Short Term Disability • Employer funded (free to the employee) • Maximum benefit period of 26 weeks • Benefit based on employee’s ability to perform their specific job duties • Eligibility at completion of 90 days Long Term Disability / CIGNA offers: • Guaranteed enrollment if enrolled in first 90 days • Benefit waiting period of 26 weeks to be classified as long term disabled • After tax benefit so disability payments from CIGNA are not taxable • Benefit based on the employee’s ability to perform their specific job duties • Qualifying benefits are based on annual income and paid to age 65 (and possibly beyond)
Life Insurance Offered: • Employer Paid Basic Life coverage of $20,000 for natural cause death and $40,000 for accidental death • Optional coverages for employee of up to $500,000, spouse up to $100,000 and dependent children up to $10,000 • The first $100,000 for employee and $25,000 for spouse is guaranteed coverage if enrolled during first 90 days • Affordable costs based on age • Eligibility at completion of 90 days
Uniforms Offered: Uniforms are provided to all employees. $2 to $3 weekly cleaning fee.
Other Offered: Shoes: Technicians receive new shoes each year. Many styles available.
