Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

All of our shops are Air Conditioned and Heated. Always a comfortable work environment.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Teams Range in size depending on level of expertise and quantity of technicians combined. Typically team size is 5 technicians with 1 team leader.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open from 7:30am until 6pm M-F and Saturday from 8am until 4pm. Our technicians are scheduled to be here at 8am until 5pm M-F and open to close on Saturday ( work pending )

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have a complete tool room of special tools that are neatly organized and easy to find. We are also in the process of setting up a separate area for special tools for all of the "i" Cars as well.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a full size refrigerator/freezer to store your food in, microwave, coffee pots, 4 8' tables with chairs to sit at. We also have outdoor seating around the property to utilize as well.

How many bays does your shop have?

We currently have 36 service bays with lifts plus 3 flat stalls along with 2 additional alignment racks.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We average 1503 repair orders during a month.

What is your parts ordering process?

We have a full staff of parts advisors in 2 shops that are in charge of our parts ordering.

What is your policy on side work?

Technicians are free to work on their own vehicles in the shop as long as it does not interfere or hinder getting our clients vehicles repaired.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Yes, we provide an electronic application form or one you can complete at the dealership. It will take about 10-15 minutes.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, we provide an electronic application form or one you can complete at the dealership. It will take about 10-15 minutes.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In-person interviews typically occur at our dealership where the potential hire will sit down with multiple management personnel. Typically the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager and/or shop foreman is present for in-person interviews. A few basic questions are asked to find out what you are looking for in a dealership to see if we are a good match. You will have the opportunity to walk through our shop and talk to our technicians.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Yes. Background checks, driving record checks and drug testing are required

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Applicants will talk with the shop foreman or lead technician and they will review different job skills with you.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Offers are made usually with 24 hours contingent on the background and drug screens.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00/year

Advisor salary varies widely depending on level of expertise and hours sold weekly.

Master Level Technician Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $110,000.00/year

Technician salary varies widely depending on level of expertise and hours turned weekly.

Service Porter/Greeter Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00/year

Porters/greeters are paid an hourly wage as well as overtime for the hours they work over 40.
