Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
We have a heated and air conditioned service shop.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Our team is currently 25 technicians between truck and equipment.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
The service show is open between 7am-5pm.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have crane and hoists available in all the service bays, air/grease/electric in each bay, and lots more. We offer a tool program for our technician team.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We have a lunch room with tables, refrigerator, and microwave. We have vending machines for drinks and snacks and there are several coffee stations in our facility.

What is your parts ordering process?
We work closely with our parts department. We have a designated parts person at the service counter for our technicians

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We offer a CDL class once a year and we work with local technical school to help our technicians get state inspection licenses. We also offer continued educations training with our EOM product lines.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We promote growth from within. We are always learning to grow our business by the success of our employees. If there is ever an interest in the current department or interest in a different position, we encourage cross training to develop our team.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Employees are given a self assessment prior to a review. After the self assessment is completed, the employee and the supervisor review the response, review job performance, and set expectations for the next twelve months.
What type of safety training is required?
We offer fork lift and scissor lift certifications. We provide PPE throughout the facility and we offer health aids throughout the building.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We currently have an apprentice program where we have 1 mentor working with a group of apprentices. Currently, our mentors have as many as 5 apprentices to work with.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We participate in local fairs and community events such as township Touch a Truck events. We also work with local technical schools to offer school field trips.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We currently work with local tech schools to bring students in for field trips or completing their Co-Op program. We work to help build the next generation by providing a state of the art facility and equipment to teach and mentor those interested in learning.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Phone screens are traditionally done prior to the in person interview. If an applicant comes in for an application, we will do our best to do an interview that day.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
The applicant will receive a paper application and then given a tour of the facility. The applicant will meet with 1 or 2 members of the management team.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We perform background checks and drug screenings prior to employment.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
We have a self assessment for the technician to complete prior to hire. During the interview, the manager will discuss the technical assessment and ask additional questions.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Usually within a week.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
The whole process take approximately two weeks.
