Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for the inspection, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of heavy construction and industrial equipment. This position requires hands-on mechanical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

 

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy equipment (
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance in the shop
  • Interpret work orders, technical manuals, and schematics
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with service advisors and parts personnel to ensure timely job completion

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment technician or diesel mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools and software
  • Must have your own tools
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
  • Technical certification or trade school training preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
